April 13th, 2009 09:31 PM #1Hello Tsikoteers!
I am geared on buying either an accord or camry in a few days. I would love to hear what you have to say for both cars.
I am currently on the market for a 2.4l displacement model for both cars.
Model: 2004-2006
Can you guys give me inputs on the following? I have also written my personal opinion and please let me know if I am wrong.
Exterior Aesthetics -- Both boring unless you dress them up.
Interior Design -- Camry, elegant and conservative; Accord, modern and contemporary.
Fuel Efficiency -- I'm not sure, I need inputs on the 2.4l models
Drive and handling -- I need inputs please
Durability -- From past experience, my Toyotas always lasted longer and the body has less "kalampag".
Maintenance -- Toyota wins this one in terms of parts availability and price.
Resale Value -- Both have equal resale value as far as I can observe.
Also vital will be, which car is more lady friendly in terms of driving? My wife will use this car kasi.
Thanks!

Buy the camry. It's more luxurious and Camry wins in terms of the parts' availability.

Exterior Aesthetics -- Both boring unless you dress them up. -- yup. I agree.
Interior Design -- Camry, elegant and conservative; Accord, modern and contemporary. -- again I agree
Fuel Efficiency -- I'm not sure, I need inputs on the 2.4l models -- both gas guzzlers. but then both are also big sedans
Drive and handling -- I need inputs please --- try them out.
Durability -- From past experience, my Toyotas always lasted longer and the body has less "kalampag". --- How many Honda's have you tried? Honda has always been in the leading edge for consumer cars.
Maintenance -- Toyota wins this one in terms of parts availability and price. --- yup I agree. A lot of oem parts and compatible parts for Toyota. Honda parts are a bit pricey. And matatali ka sa casa ng Honda.
Resale Value -- Both have equal resale value as far as I can observe. -- yup. I agree.
Also vital will be, which car is more lady friendly in terms of driving? My wife will use this car kasi. -- subjective. Let your wife decide by tryng these cars out.
Last .... a 2.4 Accord has 180ps for power. A 2.4 Camry has 165ps. Does 15ps matter?
Good luck.
