buy-and-sell vs. personal sale

i just thought of this question, however it might help other motorists specially those who are in tight budget. in buying a second-hand car, what are the pros and cons of going to a buy and sell as well as a personal sale? for example, may trip akong model ng sasakyan. pumunta ako sa buy and sell at tsaka sa isang nabalitaan kong binebenta yung sasakyan niya na mismong model na trip ko.

sa bayansel, may middleman. kaya naman, mas mataas talaga ang presyo. sa personal sale naman, kung minsan ay may "personal pride" involved, kese, alagang-alaga ang kotse, o may sentimental value, kaya kung minsan ay mas mataas ang hinihingi.. but if you ask me, i'll probably get a better deal on personal owners selling their car. less aftersale headaches.
ngayon, sino sa dalawa, bayansel or personal, ang "mandaraya"? kung tutuusin, pareho... kaya nga lang, mas "professional" siguro ang yung isa.. heh heh.

yung parehong side may pros and cons talaga:

i know some buy and sell pips that sell flooded units and clean them very well para hindi halata. yung iba naman kinakahoy yung mga gamit para mabenta pa. BUT also meron din yung matitino, kinkalas lang yung mga add ons then back to stock. mahirap to spot between the two pero kaya naman to spot yung mga manloloko sa hindi. just by the way they advertise, then pagdating hindi totoo sinasabi, eeee wag mo na tuloy.

the difference siguro nila sa personal sellers ay yung malupit sila makipagtawaran. predators sila sa mga nangangaylangan ng pera for a quick sale.

sa personal sellers naman, value of money is what their after. they dont need cash that much pero gusto lang dispose or magpalit. hindi nila bibigay sa buy and sell kasi nasa utak nila, kung bebenta ko, diretso na lang. sentimental value does not play much role sa 2nd hand unit. freshness of the car, definitely does.

If I were to buy a new car, buy & sell ako. And not from those small-time buy & sell shops, para at least mas madali habulin kung kinakailangan.
