August 11th, 2010 12:23 PM #1Hello fellow Tsikoters. I've been reading a lot from this site and helped me with my previous ride, a Honda City 1.5 vtec. I just sold it last week and I'm looking for an upgraded replacement. Here are my choices and hopefully you could give me your opinions and suggestions:
1. Toyota Altis 2.0V A/T - Php 1,125,000
2. Chevy Cruze 1.8 LT - Php 1,048,000
3. Mitsu Lancer EX GT-A - Php 1,295,000 less 155,000 discount
4. Honda Civic 2.0S white - Php 1,135,000
5. Ford Focus TDCi 2.0 - 1,195,000
My main concerns are:
1. Riding Comfort / Performance
2. Fuel Consumption
3. Maintenance Cost
4. Very good interior
5. After Sales Service
My budget is around 1.2M
Thank you so much in advance for your feedbacks

August 11th, 2010 12:49 PM #6IMHO, among the choices, only the Lancer GT-A looks like a P1 milliion peso car, perhaps due to close resemblance to the Evo X.

August 11th, 2010 01:00 PM #7For me, FOCUS diesel. I dont mind if its an old model. Its the DIESEL ENGINE FTW!!! Following very closely is the Lancer GTA (especially red) Feature and Spec wise. 3rd with a big margin between the top picks: Altis for its practicality and maintenance cost. Plus, you get a Dual VVTi that is currently found in Camry. 4th :Chevy since its new but the horror stories of chevy casa are still around. 5th would be Civic. too common but still a good ride.
These choices are great. Any of these are value for money. But if I were in your shoes, i'll have countless SLEEPLESS nights choosing between Focus and Lancer.Last edited by dale323; August 11th, 2010 at 01:15 PM.

August 11th, 2010 01:06 PM #8I'm willing to spend the P1.2 million on:
Lancer: For that Evo look
Focus TDCi: turbo diesel and 6-speed MT, dude (and sunroof???)

With a budget of 1.2M , ill chose between the lancer EX GT-A & Hyundai Tucson
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
