Aiming for a toyota yaris, tips please?

hi all,

i'm a new member of this forums and sobrang helpful so far..been checking out different cars and finally i concluded i want the toyota yaris, may nakita kc ako 12k monthly unlike others na 15-19k monthly...i am into small cars (but not too small) coz i want the better fuel consumption..

so has anyone here bought the toyota yaris? im not sure if this is the right thread but im buying a car and this is the car buying section hehe...i am wanting to know how is it so far, FC, where did you get yours, how much down, hidden charges..anything please..

also if you can suggest other cars na nasa 10-12k monthly (after normal downpayment) at matipid sa gas..feel free to advise please..baka may nakaligtaan ako sa aking research :D

I own a yaris, got mine second hand. Kaso di ako naka base sa Pinas so wala ako idea sa price niya diyan. One thing pala, meron na new Yaris, a redesign pero wala pa sa Philippines.

Anyway, our Yaris gets more than 10 km / liter sa city, I have not tried it sa highway. 30 miles per gallon city and 35 miles per gallon siya sa highway as per epa ratings sa US.

I used to drive a Vios so medyo familiar ako sa Yaris kasi same sila ng engine and suspension. It is very easy to drive, parang bump car lang hehe. Magaan ang steering, madali i park. You won't win any drag races but the engine is very capable sa city driving and sa highway na din.

Suspension is alright, di matagtag, di malambot. Yun reklamo ko lang sa kanya is yun compartment space sa rear, maliit masyado compared sa Jazz. Konting groceries lang puno na pero since dalawa lang kami eh tumba lang ang upuan ok na. They have corrected that sa new Yaris and mas lumaki na ang space ng compartment.

Anyway, good buy ang Yaris kung second hand siguro pero kung brandnew parang di na siya worth it knowing na meron na new one. My friends, two of them has a Yaris and wala sila reklamo. The reliability of the Yaris is well documented. Bullet proof ang description ng mga puti dito haha.

Ours is four year old Yaris, 30k kms tinakbo, parang brand new pa, walang kalampag what so ever. Sulit na sulit. Anyway good luck sa hunt mo and di ka mag sisisi sa Yaris, pero mas gusto ko ang design ng new one, ang sharp kasi ng dating.
