Verify first sa lending firm kung tapos na ammortizarion. Check the CR kung encumberred or not. Once cleared, if you want to be more secured, gp to HPG (TMG) for clearance of the unit. If no problem arises, go for the car. (Dont include the wife) hehe. Just kidding bro. Peace man!

basta dapat ang seller portion ng DOS mo ay iyung nakalagay na pangalan sa CR. If not, special power of attorney kelangan para authorized si wife na ibenta ang car ng husband niya.

mahirap kasi sa open DOS, hindi pwede pa notarize.

kung gusto mo ganito gawin mo. execute kayo ng proper DOS ( may pirma ng seller and may pirma mo ) then pa notarize mo. usually four orignal copies to. 1 for you, 1 for them, 2 for the notary public.

then gawa ka ng open DOS ( may pirma ng seller, blank ang buyer). make it four original copies din. then hingi ka photcopy of 2 valid id's then pa pirmahan mo sa gilid. eto ang gamitin mo kung plano mong ibenta na lang afterwards ung kotse

STEP1. Check the original papers( OR, CR, DEED OF SALE, 2 valid ids with signature).Kung sa company naka pangalan dapat may kasama secretary certificate.At kung may nakalagay na encumbered sa CR dapat may kasama na original na cancellation of mortgage.

STEP 3 Photo copy mo yung mga original papers, punta ka sa LTO office kung saan naka file yung sasakyan.Check and compare mo yung papers doon sa LTO kung pareho .Pa verify mo sometimes may 50 pesos verification fee na bnabayaran.Dito malalaman mo kung updated ang registro, kung merong mga traffic fines( baka nakabangga yan or involve sa road accidents or bka naka pending at involve sa court case yung kotse).Dito mo rin malalaman kung talagang orig yung papers ng oto.A friend of mine bought a 2004 Revo Sr last month.He didn't bother to verify since naka pangalan naman sa may ari na nagbenta yung kotse.Ayun sablay talon pala sa financing ,meaning hindi pa bayad sa banko or sa financing institution ginawan lang ng papel para kunyari bayad na.When you go to LTO at verify malalaman mo kasi yung history ng oto.

Another option would be to just make an open DOS, and then have the wife sign a receipt that she received the money from you and that you have a receipt that you received a car from them. So in this case, you have proof that you purchased the car from her.

If you dont know this person well though, beware. Kasi she isnt the owner of the car. There are some modus operandi which operates in this way eh.

May tanong rin po ako sa naka alam, Ok din po ba na ang car dealer na ang bahala sa mga papeles ng used car, meaning that the buyer will pay if the dealer gives the CR/OR in the name of the dealer na, after everything, DOS, etc. Salamat po

hi, i have a question. Meron ksi benebenta na 08 vios 1.5G MT at 550K. Problem is, yung mga papeles nakapangalan sa dalawang tao, i.e John Doe/Jane Doe. Ok lang ba to? Although meron na open na DOS with their signatures. Uncommon ksi na for 2 person nakapangalan yung car hehe

Also, tama lng ba presyo nya considering wla ng warranty (nawala na yung warranty booklet), may kunting damage sa side mirror na signal light? Bale parang 3rd owner na ako hehe or better yet bili na lng ng new 1.3E vios? Hoping for your response.
