Planning to get a used and dependable 4x4. The gen1 Paj as they say is cheap to maintain and parts are abundant. Problem is the age factor. The Trooper on the other hand, also has a reliable diesel workhorse( 4jg2),has more features, but compared to Pajero, parts not that abundant. Is it worth it to invest in an older pajero and save up for repairs, or just get the newer Trooper?
Thanks!

I`ve ridden a friend's trooper for times. By the way ... it's the skyroof edition 2004 model(?) . It has a great engine, and a great cooling system.
One problem however that troppers carry is the injector problem which is costly to repair. Lucky for her ... she haven't experience it, yet.
Maybe it's best to opt for the pajero instead. Tho' much more expensive to maintain ... atleast, you're somewhat worry free for the upcoming breakage of something that will cost you a lot of money.
