im buying a 1997 mazda van with a odometer reading of 53,000 km only. Is this possible? or this has been tampered? the vehicle doesnt look immaculate neither the engine... although presentable, not really wasted... 2nd owner na iyong bibilhan ko... so bale 3rd owner na ako.... please help! thanks
have you asked the seller bakit mababa ang mileage?
possible answers could be:
-tampered
-as we know, malakas sa gasolina ang Mazda Powervan so talagang di sya ginagamit.
at 53000kms, dapat di pa nagpapalit ng timing belts yan and other belts, dapat wala pa (in most instances) kalampag, sariwang sariwa pa ang interior. Not sure bout the tires pero at least dapat kakapalit pa lang nyan.
Possible yan. Meron nga kaming 03 Honda City 1.3 IDSI, 24k palang ang mileage ndi yan dinaya kasi digital na. Reason: Bihira talga gamitin dahil maraming kotse.
Pati yung Grand Starex namin na nabili Feb 09, 6,100+ km pa lang ang natakbo, we only use it during Sundays when we go to Church saka pang long distance trips.

It's possible kc meron kami 2001 honda city 1.5vtec 27,000+ kms pa lang.
On the one hand, posible ring dinaya kung walang service booklet. Check mo rin 1st owner baka meron ka mkuhang info.
Take note though that low mileage does not always equal to good condition.
I've test driven some high mileage but highway driven and regularly maintained cars against similar units with a low mileage and only driven in the city. The vehicles that felt and looked better overall were usually the ones that were used often yet maintained properly and those driven by the actual owners.
