50k worht of car?a waste?

Im a newbie, and im planning to buy a car. My initial budget is 50k. Some people says that it would only cause me headache. Can 50k not buy a decent car?I dont really mind the looks, I just want to have a car to ride as service and some long rides. Can you guys suggest what I should look for, what I should check when buying a car?

for 50k baka sakit lang talaga ng ulo mabili mo.. maybe it'd be better if you got a scooter or a motorbike instead. it'll serve the same purpose naman..

50k. ? sakit lang po ng ulo yan. baka mas mahal sa magiging kotse mo ang ipapagawa mo diyan.
120-140 budget nga. may sakit sakit na rin po eh . :hammer:

Although definitely may mahahanap ka na sasakyan under 50k, such as Boxtypes, Corolla DXs or KE30s, we cannot guarantee if the condition of the car is really good.

It can go three ways:
1. In good condition, minimal repairs. No headaches.
2. In ok condition, some major and minor repairs. Little headache.
3. In very bad condition, can run 2 days.. after which, it will break down and never start again.

With the budget of 50k, dun ka in between second and third. Hehe.

Wag ka na mag-sayang ng pera. Usually bumibili ng 50thou sedan sigurado karag-karag na itsura nyan. Tapos magpapaloud music ka tapos bukas bintana with matching labas ng kamay. Sagwa tingnan mukhang trying hard to belong sa automotive scene.

50k would get you a good bike. Or you can use it as down payment for a really nice bike.

Huwag sir... Mahirap po talaga gumamit ng tig-50k na sasakyan. At least 100k dapat ang budget mo if you're gonna buy a decent car. Siguro at least 70-80k for the car and then the rest for repairs.
