    Hello everyone! Newbie here

Thinking of replacing our 2016 Montero (daughter who mainly uses it is studying abroad now) with a 2nd hand luxury vehicle. We're looking at a 2M+- price range. We currently have a Prado, Explorer, Forester and a Vios so we're looking for something a bit different.

    Current choices are:
    2011-012 BMW X3
    2011-012 C Class BENZ
    013-2014-015 Lexus IS

Any opinions on the reliability, maintenance cost, etc. of the listed vehicles? Maybe a few other vehicle suggestions?

    Thank you!

How about a brand new VW Passat 2.0T (2.2M+) or a brand new Lexus IS350 (2.6M+) or Lexus NX200T (2.8M+)? These cars are quite at par with Euro cars priced at 3M to 4M in terms of features and performance.

Agree with the brand new Passat. Possible huge price hike next year due to excise tax means that buying brand new makes a lot of sense now. 2nd hand car prices will always be going downward, so you can always get one later, for less...

Also, it will be wise to get a car from a brand that has a dealership near you so that servicing and maintenance will not be a hassle.

Because of the increase in tax for brand new vehicles, tendency is that people will be buying 2nd hand cars instead. Expect that 2nd hand dealers will grab this opportunity so chances are, prices of 2nd hand will also go up. Law of supply and demand.

I agree with the above suggestions on the Passat. If you want extra bling, the Passat Business Edition gives almost Audi like interior quality, including the digital display found in most Audi's nowadays.
