Thinking of a 2nd hand, affordable, and reliable family car, good for long drives or out of town trips. Right off the bat these come to my mind:

1. Mitsu Spacewagon(local version)

2. Kia Carnival

3. Starex (99-01)

4. Pajero (Gen1)


Which do you prefer among the 4, or feel free to add

what about the Toyota Revo, Mitsubishi Adventure or Isuzu Hi-Lander?

from your 4 choices, i would pick the Starex because it has a very spacious interior plus it is the Filipino's all time favorite van.

medyo matagtag kasi ride nung 3 iyun, kaya hindi ko na sinali sa list. Yung Pajero though leaf sprung mas tolerable ang ride. Thanks for the inputs!

Anyways, between your choices i`d opt for the Starex. Besides from what LeOxe have said, I would like to add also that since the Starex is newer, it will have lesser problems hence, less money is spent.

Next would be the Kia Carnival, I know that this is newer than the Starex but since you are not seeing a unit often you might have a difficulty in finding some parts of it. Same goes with the Spacewagon.
