2nd hand car advice for 150k

Hi tsikoters,

Nag post lang po tlaga ako dito for the car suggestion hehehe. It's my first post! I am planning to buy my very first ride this end of July and my budget is 170k but I only limited myself to 150k since I think leaving an extra amount of 20k for maintenance etc. sounds like a good and safe plan. I will be using it from home to work. Byahe kasi pag nagcocommute is mahigit 1 hour nakakailang sakay pa ako ng tricycle pero pag my private car eh halos 30 mins. lang. I will be using it in a daily case basis and planning to use it on weekends to go out kaya sana may dating din yung mga suggestion niyo hehe. Hindi naman kailangan masyadong pormado basta comfortable lang ako sa loob pati rin sa mga brothers ko or cousins na maaaring isama ko at maganda rin ang porma. I am from San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan. I am working at Sta. Maria Bulacan cruising always the highway road kaya lang medyo malubak yung ibang dinadaanan. Every weekends naman namamasyal kami lagi to Trinoma or SM North. I prefer manual type and all powered tapos may room for upgrade sa sound systems. I love music. Maintenance and FC also are also important.

I am leaning towards

Sentra variants '99-'02 - kasi it has a lower resale value which is in favor for me when I am buying it. Most of them got great A/C and interior looks luxurious.

Lancer Pizza GLXIs '97-'98 - astig siya tignan kaya lang dami raw problems sa suspension at kalampag issues.

I would like to take Honda also kaya lang yung pasok sa budget ko pangit ng style -_-. Maganda sana SIRs kaya lang di kaya sa budget. Yung Toyota naman masyadong old school yung image for me sana walang na offend

I will be using this car for only 3 years and ibebenta ko na rin to and change for a brand new one. Gusto ko lang siya pagpractice.an

Not unless you want to be adventurous and start buying something starting at 50 to 70K range and then ikaw magpapayos lahat para at least alam mo kung ano ano ang mga pinalitan at pinaayos mo (Warning! This path is not for the faint of hearth and requires a lot of patience)

Sentra or Lynx 1.6M/T. Yan ang mga pinakabago na makukuha mo with your budget, maporma na tingnan at maganda sakyan. Since mostly highway ka pala, basta hinay hinay sa pag-apak magiging maganda naman ang gas mileage mo kahit alin ang kunin mo basta maganda ang kondisyon, kahit siguro Accord o Cefiro M/T ang kunin mo.

Sir 1D4LV maraming maraming salamat talaga ha! nag abala ka pa sa paghanap ng links kaya lang kasi masyado ng old model yung mga napost mo. Pinaka old na model na siguro sakin is at least '97 which is for lancer variants and at least '99 naman for sentra variants -_- Pwede pa rin siguro ako sa bigbody or lovelife na corolla basta swak sa price

Pwede din naman ang Sentra 1.3GX. But since underpowered siya, if I were to get one I'd throw in engine mods to make it more powerful and therefore more fuel efficient.

The Lynx was a relatively successful model in the Philippines and so parts should not be a problem. There is also a high degree of parts interchangeability with Mazda models of that era. In fact the Chinese company Haima is still selling a licensed, rebadged Lynx model which is also available here.

ok yung mga choice mo... why not try mo ung car ko?,, lancer 97 glxi matic... may sukli pa yang 150k mo..

ang honda civic at lancer halos pareho ng issue sa suspension, un bang bumubuka ang rear part ng axle s gulong kapag loaded.. though bago mga suspension shocks ko at supports..
You love music, tamang tama. pioneer stereo ko, usb na ito at bago..
FC kamo, 8-10 s city driving, 11-13 s highway.. Lancer 97 glxi 1.6 ito ndi ka talo.. garantisado kasi sukat ko ang byahe pag nag slex/nlex ako..
Comfort - ayos din kasi brand new '12 mit-air aircon compressor... no. 1-2 ok na...

kia pride cd5 ka na lang sarap i praktis mura pa 60k lang meron ka na, maganda pa FC at maliit madali i park, kaso walang sound system at d sya powered and downside nya kakatakot madaanan ng speeding Buses at may kabagalan pag puno. Eto lang yan eh tutal bebenta mo rin naman after 3 years ,diba 150k budget mo so may 90k ka pang sukli isama mo na lang sa bagong car mo yun na pinaplano mo baka makatulong pa yun ,plus the kia pride resale in the future mabilis lang bentahan ng kia pride dami naghahanap dito sa batangas nyan imbes na mag brand new motor sila magkikia pride na lang sila
