2006 Ford Focus 1.6 Sedan MT or 2003 Toyota Altis 1.6E MT

Hi mga sir/maam. after a year or so andito ulit ako para humingi ng payo.
regarding sa 2 sedan na ito. alin kaya mas maganda sa dalawa in terms of:

1. fuel economy. both highway, city driving.
2. parts availability. kung may masira, madali lang makakuha ng parts.
3. power, since ito magiging "service" ng family. 4 adults, including me, and a kid.
4. comfort. since 5 kami, hindi sana masikip.

assuming both with the same price, same mileage, same condition. alin kaya sa kanila yung best choice for me?

errr. based on your criteria, it is the altis.
pero i personally like the focus.....

four adults, and a kid... kids grow fast, and they usually grow bigger than the parents..you will probably outgrow the sedan pretty fast.. perhaps you need to get a bigger vehicle, say... an auv, mpv, or suv, or a people carrier..?

for now sir, dito muna ako sa mga sedan. yung 5 persons naman seldom days lang yun if may mga out-of-town lang. in a regular day, 2 lang kami ni misis papunta office. anyway thanks sa suggestion sir.

looks and more comfortable ride.....

my friend who owns both cars says mas malakas ang FC ng Focus dahil sa long gearing, lalo na daw sa first gear. so kung traffic ang regular route, medyo mataas ang FC..... pag highway driving naman daw, mas malakas daw ang rangkada vs. the altis.

focus is also heavier due to additional sound insulation kaya mas tahimik daw ang ride.

never had a chance to his focus though..... yung altis lang nya ang na drive ko.

Bigat talaga ng 1.6 MT. The Altis 1.6 MT is a scorcher in comparison.

But the Focus feels like a much more substantial, much more solid car. Because it's built out of solid billet steel.

Lovely shifter, steering and pedals. Nice handling. All it needs is to lose about a hundred kilos of weight...
