I am planning to sell my 2010 Honda City (1.5, first owner, Casa maintain) to acquire my friend's Pajero Fieldmaster 4x4, selling for 550k. Mileage high (110k) but definitely Casa Maintained.

Do you think i am in right decision? Need your opinion.

Oo naman, Pajeros are becoming classics. Now that the Philippines is progressive and so many opportunities here and there. That Fieldmaster at 500k is an investment na, coz it’s a old school flagship 4x4 of Mitsubishi.

Yun BK nga o 3.2M na bigla. Ang tantsa ko Prado is pulling the Price of the Pajero up, Prado was only 3.8M a year ago, now it’s 4.1M . Now for those na namamahalan sa Prado, they would opt for the Pajero BK . And then yun na nga tumaas din tuloy ang Pajero Bk

And because of that prestige that Pajero BK is getting, the fieldmaster magkakavalue din tuloy, lalo na yun mga well -maintained ones.

Pag naging progressive kasi ang economy, people with money tend to become individualists shying away from the umay and masa Montero Sport or Fortuner, everybody has one , so walang value.

But Pajero BK and Fieldmaster naging rare na sa eyes, so the key word is rare.

Sedans wala nmaan value yan in the future.

Depende sa actual condition ng pajero.. casa maintained is not guarantee

Check the suspension. Oil leaks.. upholstery.. madalas sira yung leather sa driver side.. tsaka yung door sa likod madalas bagsak na sa bigat

Its your friend's car, so that puts a lot of worries to rest. 110k is not really high for a 14 year old vehicle. At 7k+kms/year, its actually quite low.

550k is quite expensive. Most FM Pajeros on FB Marketplace go for just 400+k. Unless totoong 4x4 sya? AFAIK all FMs 2001 and above were 4x2 only. I wonder how he got one. By order basis?

Im jealous. Pajero FM will be my retirement car. But right now it is not practical for me.

i am also attracted by the fieldmaster despite it's age also I do not consider 110k kms high for a vehicle of this type. however kun practical lang fortuner na nga comparing the two medyo malakas sa krudo yun fieldmaster.

Maintenance medyo babawi ang FM, as it still has a mechanical diesel engine. Medyo mura lang magpa calibrate ng injection pump compared to D4D/ CRDi parts pag may nasira.

Although performance wise, the Fortuner has the edge. kahit nga sa 2.5L 2KD, medyo mahihirapan na ang 2.8L 4M40.

Ano na kaya update? Nabili na kaya ni Marteniko yung Pajero?

I'm also in a similar dilemma, ako naman with a 2009 Altis V.

Slightly OT, but just saw this from Speedworks. FM Pajero with a 4D56 DID! Apparently the guy bought a donor Montero just for this. Must really love his old Paj.

Lakas yan sir! We're looking at 400NM torque at stock.

A Strada is also a possible donor for the engine. Nakakuha nga ng donor Montero yung may ari

Hmm... I wonder if the mounts of the 4D56 TDIC Pajero would still be the same with the 4D56 DID.

Based on the Fieldmaster body, the old engine was a 4M40.
