Welcome to Tsikot forum..
short answer, sa bank po. bihira yata ang mga "pre-owned" pag sa dealer..
pag MM driving, AT is preferred (but personally, I'll still go for M/T)
pakidagdagan na rin ng additional infos, like:
- what particular car ang gusto niyo (sub-compact ba or regular sedan)
- para saan niyo gagamitin?
- ilan kayo na sasakay?
- budget for dp (around 20-25%) ng value ng car
-etc.

first set a budget, then figure out what cars would fit it. once you have that, set how much you are willing to cash out. look for prospective cars that you like, go to the bank for requirements and payment plans. negotiate the price with the seller, get approved and get the car.

sub-compact - smaller cars like Toyota Vios, Honda City
Compact or regular sedan, cars like Toyota Corolla/Altis, Honda Civic, Mitsubishi Lancer..
Try also other car forum / websites like (motioncars, topgear) para magkaroon ka ng idea about their categories. And of course, do more reading here.
Also, wait for the other tsikoteers, mods (on training, ahem.. ) to post here. Mas matutulungan ka nila..
