'Just heard on the news:
Starting next week, the MMDA would be apprehending vehicle owners who are swerving left and right or snaking on the road. The MMDA would also be apprehending vehicle owners who play loud music on their vehicles while on the road. The penalty: P 2,500 fine and/or the suspension of the driver's license for one year. For succeeding offenses, the MMDA is mulling on the idea of blacklisting the driver so that he/she can't get a driver's license anymore.
This new MMDA ruling applies to types of motor vehicles on the road e.g. PUVs, private vehicles and motorcycles.
Apparently, the MMDA has been receiving complaints from "concerned motorists and public commuters" about vehicles swerving/snaking like crazy on the road and about vehicle owners that play loud stereo music while on the road.
