Question: am planning to buy a second hand Adventure S/S Year 2000-2001 by this coming December, the fact that the original Car Stereo therein doesnt have a VCD/MP3 feature so i am going to buy a new Car Stereo Product name:BEAC with this featureCD/MP3/VCD/FM (same dimension as Pioneer brands),pwede kaya ito?parehas ba ang slot nila?universal ba ang slot ng mga Car Stereos?or is it better to buy a Discman then plug it in sa original CarStereo....Ano po ba ang brand ng Car Stereo na ginagamit sa Adventure?will you be so kind to give me the dimension ng Slot nya para po ma-check ko kung mag-fit lang itong bibilhin ko...
Hoping for your utmost reply...
Thanks Bryan

Most automakers (including Mitsubishi) follow the DIN (German Industry Standard) in making the holes for their head units. Just make sure that the head unit you are buying also conforms with the DIN.
Just what ssaloon has said, the Adventure uses a 1-DIN opening. There is also a 2-DIN and 1.5-DIN slot.

Sir Nap, thanks sa reply, i also thought about buying a Discman Panasonic SL-MV50 w/ all in one feature VCD/MP3/Karaoke/CD Fxn. but i will go for buying a new Car Stereo kc pag Discman marmai po itong palamuti na connections, adaptors, medyo clutter ang dating, but then yung aalisin ko na oem Stereo eh pamalit ko sir sa Car ko, then yung old one will goes to my truck...
Ang ayaw ko lang din sa mga murang Discman(made in China), madali po itong masira as i own 1 hir...

and di mashadong maganda sound quality ng discman kasi yung adaptor na gagamitin ay parang casette tape lang, which is inferior in sound quality vs. cd audio IMO

DIN fittings ay universal , japanese and euro cars ay they conform the 1 DIN or 2 DIN , ang gumagamit lang ng 1.5 DIN ay ang domestic or american market ie GM , Ford etc .
Dont get confused sa 2 DIN vehicles na ur HU is only a 1 DIN spec , pwede mo i customized to cover up ang ilalim or put an equalizer or booster , may 100 ways para maayos ito . Huwag lang bumili 2 DIN spec na HU tapos pang 1 DIN ang butas ng sasakyan mo . Yan ang imposible .Last edited by DSM619; November 5th, 2003 at 08:10 PM.

My question is what is the width and height of 1-DIN? Kasi ang hole slot ng bighorn ko is only 7 inches width and 2 inches in ht standard ba eto?. I want to change my HU JVC to Pioneer kaso ang width ng pioneer is 8.5 same lang height 2 inches. I have to change it kasi oem no FM Japan. gusto ko sana pioneer kaso i have to alter the slot. Siguro maghahanap nalang ako ng JVC.
Thanks
