For SPL audio setups specially for high power Subs (e.g., Solobaric L7), you need almost the trunk space available but again, not all SPL subs are solobaric-esque. Anyway, for ported box, this isn't enclosed fully and there are "exit points or holes". Ported Box are good for HP Subs to maximize its capability and allow you to have the "gapang" effect.
Take note that SPL setups doesn't really require you to have an alloted number of subs. The bass effect will be affected by the box volume, the power of the subs, amplifiers, proper blending and mixing of the equalizer of the HU, etc. etc.
I think Mazda3s use donut tires as spares so its easier for you to "hide" your spare and maximize you trunk sir.

Try asking for sir Jeff Tan of ACA, he knows his 'Thang!

his from ACA near Arlington in Araneta, his works are highly recommended from a known car club.
Try also going to KAC site. You'll learn lots of things there.
Brands? for SPL, try going for Kicker, JBL, JL and Rockford Fosgate if you prefer known brands. Just be sure to have an audition of each sub you're choosing so to match what you really like. I'm a kicker and RF user so definitely I'll recommend both these two to you. Try going for Kicker L5, L7 or the new SoloX series; RF Power Series or the Previous HX Series too. Though these subs + the whole system (amplifiers, cap banks, wires, etc.) will cost you an arm.
Also, don't forget to upgrade you're battery (if still casa provided) not all 1sm batteries can withstand high power requirement from the system you'll be loading it. Choose deep cycle batteries like AC Delco (expensive too).

August 29th, 2007 10:24 PM #7thanks sir. kung ang gagamitin ko ay stock na hu ng 2007 mazda 3 (di ko alam kung anong brand nun eh), tapos
amplifier Kicker ZX 350.4 ( 4 channel )
thanks sir. kung may marerecommend kang set-up for minimal trunk space lang ang makukuha, pasabi naman. it will really help me alot. thanks ulet. kudos to you sir.

Sir,
Kung low budget ka, ported box na di-tanggal if you need space tapos 6x9 na pionner speakers on rear pero gastusan mo yung front seps mo para SPL. you need 2 ampli, 1 dedicated to subs na nakakabit sa box (pwede rin yung mga amplified subs with box) tapos v12 para sa seps and 6x9.at least kahit wala yung subs ay maganda pa rin tunog dahil may 6x9 ka.

It depends on your budget sir, but if you extend it to at least 50k+ or more then it'll be alot easier for me to give you specs.
CompVRs are usually setup-ed in pairs and check the RMS value first and not the peak, I think they go for 400W RMS on the 12" that are Dual voice coil (DVC). They produce almost spl-level when max-ed out but not really into spl., they are best performers when the box is closed (no ports) IMO. This way, accuracy will be maximized.
Try going out for a 12" compVX subwoofer, you only need one sub that can produce SPL like bass but pretty much expensive, comes at a whooping 750W RMS and 1,500W peak at 12", 2 ohms DVC impedance, it comes best on a ported box that compliments with the box volume specification. Best bet, try auditioning different brands too at different shops.
Box isn't that big too with the CVX.
Else, if you want "basic" spl subs, go for Rockford Fosgate HX 12" it gives out 600W RMS, pretty much for those who have midrange budget.
Also, beware of cheap immitation.

Puwede i try, 1. Palit air filter 2. Linis throttle body 3. Linis MAF sensor 4. Check spark...
