mga audio gurus , suggestion nyo lang . Ano ang mas recommended na at the
same time space saver siya , isang 13.5" na sub or dalawang 10" na parehong naka
sealed box , ilalagay ko ito sa Full size na SUV .

    well...

it would depend on what sub you would be using...

generally...10" subs go for .6cuft up and 12" subs around 1cuft up. so pwede 2 10" sub in a sealed box around 1.3 cuft...while some 12" go as big as at least 1.5cuft...ibang 12" naman pwede to go 1cuft lang...so mas maliit box niya.

since these are two different subs...you can start by checking the manufaturers minimum box requirement for both...then compute

fiber fill can be eliminated by using MDF= Medium Density Fiberboard.......yung parang cork type na board used by sub box makers.......mahal nga lang.....:D

fiberfill is usually used as some sort of a dampening material...it will also make the speaker think that it is in a bigger box by dispersing "standing waves".

MDF is most often used because it is "damper" than ordinary plyboards. Particle Board is better but it is more expensive, harder to come-by and screw holes will tend to be lose thread easily. "damp" materials help control the resonant frequency of the box which will make it more accurate. hth

Corrections lang mga ser. MDF is more expensive than Particle Boards. MDF na 3/4 is 680 pesos na 4'x8', while the 3/4 particle board is about 500 pesos. Actually, mas recommended ang MDF kesa sa Particle Board for sub boxes kasi mas siksik ang MDF. Meron ding HDF pero masyado na mahal.
You don't want to use Particle Board especially if yr sub is an S12L7 and a 2000 watt amp, blown box!!!.....hehehe
    Just my 2 cents, po!

tsaka mas preferred yun MDF because of the its "resonant characteristics". but best read the manufacturers instructions and recommended sub box sizes and materials. im sure there are options there from a compact sealed to max ported boxes. check these measurements vs those that you think would fit in your trunk.
