Which sound system package set for newbies?

I'm not an audiophile. I'm a newbie when it comes to car audio system. I tried to read what to get but it's just very complicated. I think I need a sound system package, yun kumpleto na lahat sa isang set (mp3 capability). Budget ko P20k lang.

which would you prefer? SQ (good quality), SPL (good boom/loudness), or SQL (best of both worlds)

also, what is your ride? and your current HU?
for a limited budget, if your HU is good enough, just invest on a good set of separates for the front, mid-level sub and an amplifier.

it can get really complicated, but you can just stick to the basics. I suggest visit stores who can do demos, and check out which would suit your needs, but still fit your budget.

honestly With that money...A very good HU will cost roughly 13-15K.. and quality separates will cost 3.5-7k( 1pair) and you need to have spare for a quality cables(end result happy and satisfied b ).. I will not suggest a "budgetmeal" set-up coz it will just cost you more in the end... I had a budget meal set-up before and I was always craving for more.. especially kung may marinig ka ng ibang set-up..lalo kang maloloko sa kakaadjust ng system kung bakit hindi mo makuha ang tunog na gusto mo..LOL..

I don't really recommend this shop. Lots of bad reviews. If your willing to take the risk, try it out. Hopefully your experience will be good.

sir washburn...anu po ba ang mas maganda ang tunog at makaka tipid ako.yung SPL na (boom boom) o yung SQL?kasi po sa panahon po ngayun diba dapat lahat cgurado...salamat po....

Ive been a JBL fan..for me meron ang JBL na wala sa iba.. I have a 6 x GTO 607c components and they sound amazing.. Like everybody audition first.. Dahil maymamahalin na brand/well-known exagerated yong price..tapos hindi mo pala gusto ang tunog.. and the JBL amplifiers they are very durable and reliable..the sound is great.. But it will depend as well with your HEAD UNIT even thou you got this package.. and your head unit sounds crap.. it will be a disaster.. Good luck!

If you want on both world SQL or loud and clear some call it. Your 20T will achieve something already but you still need to save up for more to complete the system you want. You can do it in stages so that you wont be spending more of ditching the equipment you already bought when the upgrade itch bites you.

First good head unit (a must) Alpine or Pioneer with separate sub out least 4V output
Separates - mid level - Focal/Hertz/ Audio system/RE/Rainbow and many more
Good - good 4x75W channel amp - JBLGTO/Kicker/RF
Sub around 300-600WRMS - Kicker/RF punch/Hertz and many more

Use channel 1&2 of the amp for the separates then bridge the 3&4 for the sub.

later if you feel the need of upgrading to another seps maybe in the trunk for open trunk street music (the reason some want it loud and clear) use the channel 3&4 to the additional seps and buy a mono amp for your sub preferably 600-1000WRMS..

If you dont mind buying 2nd hand it can save you a lot. Just ask for a personal warranty sa seller.

Use ported box so that you can have the street bass pounding. Deadening your doors and trunk will now be important if you hear some rattles when you pump up the volume.. use quality wires since replacing wires you need to dismantle your panels and sidings..

These are just a guide for a better planning of your setup.. remember there is no perfect setup (some spend arm and leg but still needs more) it all boils down to good research and planning and audition.

Spend your 20T wisely sir and buy gears that are tested.. I suggest visit www.kotseaudioclub.com you will learn a lot and can find a good buy on the trading section... there are a lot of good and cheap audio items for sale there. Happy hunting
