very basic ito right? am i supposed to encounter problems after this setup? ganito po kase nangyayari:
1. pag umaga, everything works great
2. pag gabi, naka-on lahat ng lights, namamatay ang amp at stereo at humihina ang headlights ko.
3. when i turn off the aircon, ayos na sounds, pero mahina headlights.
4. when i rev up, lumalakas ang ilaw, tapos mag-o-on ang sounds then off ulit after rev drops.
sabi sakin normally kaya daw ng stock alternator ng hatchback ang basic setup na yan. so, anong problem? battery ko is new. alternator daw baka mababa ang charge rate.
eto po questions ko:
1. kelangan ko ba mag-upgrade ng higher amp na alternator? magkano yung amp at magkano pakabit? (may conversion pa right?) ilang amps? at kasya ba sa hatchback?
2. ok na ba yung stock alternator ng hatchback? bili nalang sana ako ng same type as stock. para wala ng babaguhin. (mas mura ba to?)
3. or mag-dagdag ako ng 2nd battery? magkano to? (re wire, kabit, etc.)
important po sakin ang price kung ano mas mura, ok na ko dun. i dont think kelangan ng higher amp alternator for that basic setup. sabi sakin charge rate daw ang i-check kase mabilis ma-drain ang batt. ano po suggestions nyo?
try installing a ground kiting, its the most cost effective solution for this problem see what happens.
if that fails, look to upgrading your alternator or install a capacitor, I prefer the alternator upgrade. but before that try using another amplifier with a lower power rating. Since your using a ABC box, a "weaker" amplifier would be enough - lets say around 150W - 300W RMS.
At ilang amps ba ang rating ng stock na alternator ng hatchback? Baka nga kulang kung 800W RMS yan. Pero pag hininaan mo ang gain or volume ganon pa rin ba?
pa check mo nalang alternator mo. siguro mababa rating nyan. mas maganda mag upgrade ka ng alternator with higher current rating (around 80A to 110A) para ready narin for future upgrade.

the wild thing: di ko po alam stock amp ng alternator eh. stock pa headlights ko. planning to get hids sa birthday ko. hehe. (o yea, i need more power for that right?)
flagg: il have my alternator checked muna. kung ok naman ang charge rate, il get a battery nalang na low drain. ok ba yun?
caloyski5 and mcbry: yea, definitely mukhang upgrade nga ko ng alternator. meron bang bolt on lang na universal? para wala ng convert-convert? how much usually yun?
i had my alternator checked. 11 volts lang binibigay. so i had it replaced. i got a 90 amp from a toyota, wala naman ginawang conversion, bolt on lang. after nun, 14 volts ang lumalabas sa reading, nagiging 15 pag rev. tapos i had my battery replaced narin. so far, ok na. upgrade ng 7point high gauge ground kit at lagay ng capacitor? kelangan ko pa ba?
ipon po yun. hehe. christmas money. may problem pa po mga bossing. namamatay makina ko pag low rev. kaka-pa tune up lang po kanina (change oil, filters, sparkplugs, etc.) tapos po tumaas ang menor. chineck ang bigay ng volts, bumagsak sa negative, so binalik ko alternator at pinalitan kse nasa waranty pa. ngayon, 110amp na alt na kinabit at ok na ang bigay ng electricity kahit daming load. kaso...ang taas po ng menor lalo na pag inon ang ac. may connection po ba yun sa electrical?
sabi po kase ng isang kaibigan, baka dahil mas malaki at malakas ang alternator, kelangan mag-compensate ng engine kaya mataas ang menor. may sense ba yun? kaso ang ingay kase eh, parang hindi tama. pag pinababa ko naman, natatakot ako baka bumalik yung dating sakit na mahina bigay ng kuryente, to the point na namamatayan na ko. pano na po? advice naman. (nagsisisi tuloy ako sa pinagawa kong sounds setup. pero bat yung ibang hatchback, ok naman kahit naka amps at subs?)
