November 3rd, 2003 12:34 AM #1I am seriously considering upgrading the stock double din Alpine head unit and 3-disc cd changer on my Prado to a Pioneer DEH-5550 and a Velocity 8" sub-woofer. I was quoted P13,000 for the the 5550 and P8k for the sub.
Does anyone know where I can get a better deal (installed)? Makati area my preference but QC ok na din.
Btw, I already have an Alpine V12amp.

November 4th, 2003 02:11 AM #4Well guys thanks for the tip. Decided to get the 5550 from Autoline in San Antonio Village, Mkti for less than P12k. Naging problema ko nga lang was the slot where the 3disc cd changer was. What the technician did was cut out a plywood to fit the open slot and stuck a grey carpet (used on subwfer boxes) on it. Actually medyo merong konting kalampag so I have to bring it back. But the sounds definitely has improved. I decided not to get the subwoofer for the meantime. The owner Alex Ong advised that maybe I should just change the front speakers to 6" Infinitys.
