bili ka nalang sir ng new head unit... meron po mura pero maganda yung pioneer 1950... basic cd player lang pero may aux in sa harap... at higit sa lahat pwede rin para sa mga budget meal setup...

I had one of these. Maganda yung tunog niya Pero yung tunog niya is highly dependent on the quality of your deck's tape player head.

I got a "tape converter" from Raon for just P80. (tinawaran ko from P120)

unfortunately, nasira yung HU ng car ko (because someone played with its security code), and I had to change it, kaya di ko na nagamit yung tape converter ko. But Ive used my tape converter sa home system ko, ang ganda ng sound.

Also, you have to be aware of the volume of the iPod when using such a device. If your iPod's volume is too loud, sasabog at sobrang papangit ang sound sa HU. Dapat mahina lang yung iPOD then set the volume of the HU higher, not the other way around. Try this, baka gumanda sound ng tape converter ninyo.

If you have a tape deck, its worth to try this option, knowing that you can get it at less than P100. Parang triny mo lang yung bagong burger ng jollibee at that price. if you like it - good. If not, you didn't lose much.

Sa mga malls I found the same device selling at P250 - P650 each

Tama si Sir Kimps. The best yung HU na may aux input. Wala kuwenta yang FM transmitter. Sayang lang pera mo. Galing na ako riyan. Kaya ginawa ko, replace na lang yung HU ko with the AUX in.

    Everybody happy..............

Korek ka sir Kimps. My man has an FM transmitter, sabi ko nga sa kanya parang "nag-i-ipis" ang sound. Nag-i-ipis is like yung nagpupumilit na marinig, then there's a certain humming, hindi naman squelching.

If sounds clarity is at best on you w/o changing your current H.U, try Harman Cardon Drive + play 2.

The Drive + Play 2 (DP2) integrates your iPod w/ any car stereos. Just connect you iPod to the DP2 and use the DP2's wireless controler and full- color display to access your music. The DP2 then sends the music to you car stereo via aux input or its built-in Fm transmitter. Since DP2 is wireless, you can mount anywhere plus works with all dockable iPod.

You're better off changing your HU than buying this, especially since it costs around $400 in the US. You can buy an audiomobile unit if your on a tight budget or for half the price of the Harman Kardon device, you could get a Pioneer 7950UB which can control iPods directly (gen 5 and up) as well as ordinary usb flash drives and portable HDDs up to 250Gb.

check your radio manual...kung merun yan provisions sa likod ng auxiliary equipment (like cd changer), BAKA pedeng iconnect dun ang ipod.

    Yun nga lang...minsan hindi practical.
yung clarion ko have a cenet connection for auxiliary....kaso the ipod connector to it cost P6,000! so hindi practical... kasi a cheaper pioneer hu is less than or almost at that amount na.

I have the same dilemma as the TS. My HU doesn't have an aux in or usb port. I've read a lot of bad reviews on FM transmitters so I'm not too keen on purchasing one.

I am more interested on the ipod to car interface. How does it work? Do you still have the contact number of MAXX-ENERGIE? If not, can you still remember the nearest landmark coming from Pasay Road?

    Thanks.
