boybi, yung sa akin (sdv185-s) can turn off the lcd if connected to tv. just push the M (mode) button for 2-3 secs then automatic mag-off yung screen. di ko lang sure kung same sa model mo. anyway, regarding sa radiowave, there are 3 choices sa frequency. kung may problema sa sound, you can change the frequency setting (see manual).
