I finished it at last. I was trying to get it as cheap as they come. I had to borrow some power tools to get the box done though and everything I did myself including the sub box. Any info you need is available over the net. You can get most of these at any of the electronic stores on Aurora Blvd in Cubao (easier than going to raon since you will only save a few hundred bucks).

Thanks by the way to all the advice I got on this forum

    Pioneer DEH-1550 6,500.-
    V12 amp 5,000.-
    Targa TX-402 seps 1,700.-
    Targa x-80 subs
    (2x850) 1,700.-
    Home made box
    MDF (half lang used) 360.-
    Misc screws 200.-
    Wood glue 60.-
    Sealant 80.-
    Fiber fill 55.-
    rugby 20.-
    carpet cover 350.-
    Misc cables, wires
    and terminals 250.-

    GRAND TOTAL 16,275.-

It sounds pretty good for the price.

Halos pareho tayo ng set-up sir. Hehehe. TX-402 din ako pero single X-100 sub lang sa likod.

Medyo nakatipid lang ako kasi stock HU pa din and surplus wires ginamit ko.

    Congrats. Pics naman diyan.

Galing ako sa intense(banawe) last Saturday, nag pa quote ako ng budget setup for my lancer 97' etong binigay sakin ni Sir Ben:

    1 set Targa 6" 2way Seps - 1500
    1pc. Targa 12" Subz - 1500
    1pc. V12 NV1200 - 4500
    Box - 2000
    Rack - 500
wires and fuse block - 2500

Do you think ok na itong setup ito. How bout the price? Sana mabawasan pa yung price para naman makabili ako ng magandang HU. Di ko naman kaya kasing mag DIY eh.
Balak ko sanang HU yung Pioneer 3550 para may mp3 na, ok bayung unit na ito? any comments on this HU.

Update: Subs sound better now that they've had time to be broken in. Kala ko may problem sila cuse I've heard them sound better in another car.
I read also that new subs really need time to set in and stretch before they sound better.
Buti na lang I waited. I was almost ready to upgrade ka-agad.
