Theoretically, yes, there should be a difference. (Haven't tried it though.) Higher sampling rate will capture more of the signal.
For me though when I'm going to burn onto a regular audio CD anyway I get them into WAVs using CDEx or any similar software.
Wala pa akong MP3 player e.

i'd say audio cd's are still the best since it was in uncompressed format. but opting to mp3 espcially into HU would okay as long as the compression rate of the music file (mp3) would be high (192 kbps). mp3's in HU would be okay most especially on long drives, when going out of town.

That's why most of my MP3 compilations are at minimum of 192kbps. Para pag lipat sa MP3 cd maganda pa rin yung sound.

May 17th, 2004 11:04 PM #14I currently have a bunch of "albums" in 2 CD-RWs. All of the songs were encoded at 192 kbps - audio cds still sound way better. (and I don't have fancy speakers either - just the stock Pioneer speakers).

yup audio cds are still the way to go. also, on a related note, iba talaga ang tunog ng orig na cd. i ripped my friend's maroon 5 cd * 192kbps and burned it in audio cd format, tapos when compared to the orig cd, ibang-iba ang tunog! buong-buo yung tunog ng orig!

ssaloon has a point.
considering the relatively low tech equipment that we have, copying Audio CDs into other formats (MP3, WAV, RAM, or cloning the CD) will lend to a loss of sound quality.
AFAIK, 192 kbps is the closest we can get. a friend told me that any higher than that doesnt really make a difference, just a waste of disk space daw. i dunno why the file's larger though...less compression maybe? noise?
food for thought: audio cds sold in the stores are just copies of some original version ;P

not less compression, but higher sampling rate.
for the same unit of time, mas maraming data na dumadaan (bitrate measured in kbps).
and while you guys are shopping for mp3 players, make sure that you get a fast loading one.
Yung 7450MP ko dati ang bagal. Coupled with a 2V preout, it had "For Sale" written all over it.
8650 is a totally different story altogether. It loads MP3s as fast as changing tracks with a regular cd.
