    Agree, agree.

    Some tips:

    1. Always handle the CD by the edge or center hole, not on the data surface.

    2. Keep discs in sturdy protective slleves, preferrably plastic jewel cases.

    3. Keep your discs in scratch-free and dirt-free environments. Never slide the discs across hard surfaces.

    4. Don't spill food or beverages on your CDs.

    5. Use only a soft-tipped, felt pen when writing on the surface ofr your discs.

    5. Keep them away from direct sunlight, even if they are inside protective cases - this may warp the meda of your CDs. Keep CDs in normal temperatures as much as possible. If a CD is exposed to very cold temperatures, it is best to let it warm up before playing.

    6. Store CDs in a stress-free environment.: it should not be kept between or under heavy objects or any objects that bring pressure to the CD media.

    7. Keep your CDs clean by occasionally gently wiping with a micro-fibre cloth. Be sure that the cloth is clean and does not contain any dirt or abrasive particles that can scratch the disc. Always wipe from the center out, and not in a circular or zig-zag motion.

    8. Keep CDs away from small childern that might play with it. Store it in places where small children or pets could not reach it.

    9. Make it a point to play all your CDs once in a while CDs not being used and kept in storage for a long time may develop mildew/molds over the surface.

    10. Label the CDs properly and categorize them so that you woud not have a hard time locating a CD - this is especially usefull if you have hundreds of CDs that you have collected over the years.
