Ipod Pie Interface

i just bought this cool gadget. had to go to their head office to have it installed (for free). according to the store i got it from, it'll definitely work. if it doesn't, i could return it.

it didn't work. they said they have to contact the supplier sa states to ask if ano pwede gawin. anyone here using the same gadget? help needed... i really wanna use my ipod sa car directly.

clarion head unit, suzuki jimny 2006, i don't want to use a crappy itrip.

help please...

or is anyone here selling ano old (pero gumagana) na cd changer? na super mura? basta square yung plug... please message back. thanks...

IPOD PIE (Precision Inteface Electonics) interface: its basically a device that can supposedly seamless integrate your iPod with your HU, provided that the HU has CD-changer controls.

Teka, the PIE interface is supposed to work only on Ford, Audi. VW and Honda vehicles - iba-iba pa pin requirement sa HU per vehicle.

So...I'm wondering wht your dealer told you that it would work just fine on your Suzuki Jimmy (Clarion HU)? Check if what number of pins your changer/din has : 8, 10, 12, 16 or 24.

yeah, nakalagay dun for clarion HU. so silly me bought it. sigh. still waiting word from them. sana maayos na since i'll be driving to tagytay, hoping to be able to play my ipod.

Mondo, curious lang - ano specifically ang naging problem? curious talaga ako kasi ang alam ko talaga eh wala pang PIE model for suzuki vehicles. However, I could be wrong. May harness na ba ang PIE for Suzuki vehicles?

Did you check out the PDXP iPod2Car adaptor? Universal kasi yun - kahit anong HU basta may CD changer. Nga lang, I think the harness for the vehicle is sold separately.

according sa supplier, kailangan ko pa daw ng cd changer para dun maconnect ang pie. bad trip. sana sinabi sakin beforehand diba. la pa nga pang suzuki. now i know. argh. i need a clarion cd changer ce-net (square plug). 'nyemas! i dont wanna spend pa. any second hand for sale?

Yep, the PIE interface needs a CD changer else it won't workl. Napaka irresponsible naman ng dealer mo - hindi sinabi sa 'yo na wala kailangan ng CD changer yung PIE at wala pang vehicle harness an PIE na pang Suzuki. Anyway, yung harness eh madaling gawan paraan. Yakang-yakang i-hack yan ng magaling mag-audio setup.

Mondo, yung Clarion HUs at CD changers eh dito sa 'Pinas assembled. May showroom may Banawe at sa may 5th Ave. sa Caloocan. Try mo tawagan tong dalawang number na ito: 732-8010 or 732-8012. Bigay mo series/model number ng HU mo para makahanap sila ng match na CD changer.

Hmm....I think it could very well work because if your Honda is a 1998 model up (Civic) because there is a harness from PIE for the Honda and the PIE interface has different pin options. It could be that all you need is to locate a Fujitsu CD changer that PIE supports (in terms of the number of pins) and that would work on your HU.

However, PIE does recommend that your HU should be Premium 6 capable.

the Honda EK is 96-97. but just to be sure, ill check with mickey's on this at baka pwede na.

i also want to use my ipod sa car ko, just plug in sa audio out kung meron, kung ala naman, sabi nun elec supply na papagawaan ko, i could put and external connector from which the cd shuttle should be, dun lalagay yun audio out

this is better than and fm transmitter or through casette player

ive got a crapy sony HU with an lcd and a connection box for a/v. specific model is XAV-7W. do you think if i get on of these "ipod-connector" gadgets, it will be able to play audio and videos from an ipod video?

nge... i don't think what i have can play videos. medyo mahirap ata yun pag magdrive ako.

i think yung ibang HUs, since may aux and vid in/out e pwede ata. just like playin' somethin' sa regular tv set mo... pero i think all you need is the black cable na may yellow,white red heads... 60pesos lang ata yun. ewan ko lang ha.

i have already tried pluging a sony discman dun sa conenction box using the RCA cables (audio/video cable) but the HU cannot detect the discman. i tried, other devices and still no luck.

before we go out of topic, i just want to know if anyone here have any idea if there is any "ipod-connector" gadgets available in the market for the Sony XAV-7W
