Hello Tsikoteers. My ride is a 2008 Honda City IDSI. I want to improve my audio setup. My head unit is a stock JVC KD-G635 (Max. power: 50Wx4). I recently purchased a pair of 5.25" coaxial 2-way Ryan Audio front speakers, but I hardly notice any improvements. I also have 2 stock rear speakers (the ones behind the seats). Here is my problem:

    1. Do I have to replace my Ryan Audio coaxial front speakers with separates or leave it as is? The sockets in my front doors are only 5.25" and I don't want to make it bigger.
    2. What should I do with my rear speakers?
    3. Will my alternator be able to handle a good sound set-up, considering that I'm only using a 1.3L displacement engine?
    4. My budget is only 15k, will this be okay for very good SQ with enough bass to play the low frequency notes.

I'm planning to have my setup at Evanelista. Please recommend a shop there for my audio and also for a grounding kit.

    Thanks in advance

    1. no you dont have to, just buy the tweeters and passive crossover.

    2. rear speakers are for the "rear feel" so unless may sakay ka lagi sa likod... ok lang stock nandun.

    3. sir if 500w lang ampli... ok lang yun. your ride can handle it naman.

    4. if your going for sq, ok na yung budget mo... personally, ill prefer JL audio sa subs.

lastly, if you have stock HU... palitan mo na din yun kasi kahit nakaampli ka, hindi parin solid yung labas ng sounds. also, use the normal 2ch sa seps and 2 ch sa subs.. so get the ampli na 4 ch.

Thanks Archie. I would definitely get some passive crossovers and tweeters for my front. Would you (or anyone) by chance know the filter settings for the crossovers? Also, is there a highly recommended shop at Evangelista?

sir wala kasi ako alam na shop na ok sa evangelista when it comes to sound setup pero sa north, ok talaga C3 audio sa banawe. cheaper than the other stores and their people are good installers.

hintayin natin reply ng iba kung may recommend sila sa evangelista.

San po banda ang C3 audio? Right side of Banawe or left pag galing Quezon ave. from Manila.
