Good day! I recenly had an Android head unit installed. I love every bit of it. Gumanda sounds, installed apps like Waze, Spotify, ODB2, etc.

My only issue is di nila kaya paganahin ang steering wheel control and they have not heard of anyone who made it work. Lahat daw ng nagpapapalit sa Android HU, they lose that functionality. They told me naman at the onset and I had it installed pa rin.

My question is, do you know anyone that may make it work?

2014 Montero Sport GLSV lang po.

Does your Android HU have steering wheel remote inputs?

If yes, and if your only problem is that the signal is not compatible with the vehicle steering wheel remote, you will need a steering wheel control interface. See my post here for more info: Toyota Innova Owners & Discussions [continued 3]

If your Android HU does NOT have a steering wheel remote input, then tapos na usapan. There'll be no way to make it work. You can go "ghetto" mode and use a steering wheel learning IR remote such as this. This is assuming that the IR receiver is sensitive enough to pick up the IR signal from the steering wheel. IR typically works when the transmitter and receiver are within line-of-sight. But sometimes, if the transmitter is strong enough and/or the receiver is sensitive enough, you can bounce the IR beam and the receiver would still be able to pick it up.

Installed Joying Android HU last year sa Civic FD ko. The audio steering wheel control (installed separately years ago) is working. May setting sa HU mismo. If CAN bus equipped car mo, masmadali isetup.

Ang dami ng HU na pwedeng paganahin yung audio control sa steering wheel. You need to ask kung me canbus yung HU na bibilin mo specific sa sasakyan.

Check this website: iDatalink - Maestro - Home
