otep, pano yung hook-up ng speakers?doable ba sa samurai w/ 4 speakers? ang plan ko kasi is to install a small radio tuner then mp3 via fm tuner, medyo limited kasi yung space sa samurai. Almost everyday nandun ako, sometimes sa loob ako naka park....

i don't know of any 1/2 din or any smaller than 1din sized headunit in the market today. what the motorcycle peeps are using are portable players like discmans, mp3 players, etc.

as for your audio system install for your samurai, drop me a line and let's discuss options. i'm sure i can think of a way to put in a decent system in your ride. click on the link in my signature for some samples of my work.

Creative makes MP3 players with radio tuners. There might be an adapter for a 12v/13.8v source, add a LOC to wire it to a small amp under the seat if a line out is not available, and voila!

thanks kewlryds i might do that one of these days,
and wildthing if i use a small 4 channel amp, will this be enough to power the 4 speakers even if my player is powered by a different source, like this scenario:

self powered mp3 player line-out hooked to a small amp powered by the car's battery, then the 4 speakers are hooked up to the amp. will this work??? ganito siguro set-up ng motorcyles

Yep, as long as the four channel amp is matched to the speakers, I mean, it has enough power to drive the speakers. Hindi naman siguro malakas ang kailangan mo di ba so kahit 50Wx4 ok na, maliit lang yun.

Meron... but as usual, the output of these MP3 players are already amplified (maybe 4 watts). Baka merong mp3 player na may line out.

I have not tried it but a 4W amplified signal fed into a line-level input might not be bad. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. If I am, then you will need a line-out converter.
