sige mga papi thanks sa reply. kala ko meron iba way para makapanood kahit off ang battery.
Want to listen with your engine off? Get a deep cycle battery like Optima...
think of it this way, yung matitipid mo sa gas, mapupunta pag pagpalit ng battery, so either way gagastos ka pa rin.
--how much usually would the price difference of Optima and other batteries (like Outlast)? and when you say deep cycle, how long will the battery's charge last comparatively?
--Also, if you change to a bigger battery (like 2SM from 1SM), would the alternator be able to sufficiently/properly charge the bigger battery?Or better yet upgrade your battery to 2SM for longer entertainment time...but be sure na papalakihan mo din battery bay mo as it would not fit if you are switching from 1SM.
If I can remember it correctly, I've done this for more or less 45 mins. (CD playing/radio. Wala nman naging problema sa battery (less than a year old). I always turn my engine off while parked waiting, listening to the radio or using the CD player. OT:Excessive idling IS bad for your engine.
If the battery is rated 40AH and your load is 5 amperes, you will have an 8hours play time before the battery is totally discharged. To be safe, you can have a playtime of 4 hours to reserve enough AH to start the engine. Remaining available Ampere-Hour rating of the battery decreases as it becomes older.
Battery is considered totally discharged if the terminal voltage falls down to 10.5 Volts.
would installing a capacitor for your sound system have an effect on running your sounds while the engine is off? I currently have a 1-farad installed and I can run my sounds at around an hour to one hour and a half. thanks. I;m just a newbie here. =)

IMO its doesn't, your sound system will still draw current from your batteries.Originally Posted by raphael_allen
