No FM modulator will really sound great. The sound will always seem flat. Best to have a wired connection between your MP3 player and the car's HU. So best to get a HU with a iPod connectivity or at least an AUX-IN port.

All modulators transmit soundwaves using the FM bandwidth. So the sound quality is like listening to a FM station. Not really that great when compared to the CD/IPOD/direct connectivity but its fair enough esp. if your HU does not have newer conveniences and playing the CD is more of a chore for you.
Choose the FM modulator where the display can show the titles. But its more expensive compare to others.

I found out each model has different quality. so far, this is the best that I tried personaly.

like most of their fm mods, this also is soft in volume. but the treble is a little bit better compared to the other models they have. it also has equalizer, but is damn crap and better off not using it at all.

Don't waste your money buying those useless FM modulators. I bought one 2 years ago, and I only used it once, tapos tinabi ko na. As the others have said, sound quality is the pits. And I tried all 4 available FM stations.
Better save up and get those entry level HU's by Sony or Pioneer na may USB/SD card slots or Aux-In.

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
