guys, tanong ko lang kung anong puwedeng gawin para ma-resolve yung issue with the cd player. in dash cd player kenwood kdc 5010 ang model. pagka-insert ng cd (original or pirated cd-r and cd-rw) won't get played. parang binabasa lang for a few secs (around 10 secs siguro) then i-eeject din. ano kaya problema? maaayos pa kaya yun? TIA sa mga magrereply.

That could be repaired, optical lens due for replacement. That is the common problem of in-dash CD player whatever brand it is. Unlike separate CD changer which are more durable. My 6 year old, 6- disc CD changer( Clarion) is still functioning, no skips whatever discs (original, pirated) inserted. In case the cost of the optical lens is high, suggest you look for a separate Kenwood CD changer 6/12 discs, even slightly used in car accessories shop. I think your head unit has a provision for a separate CD changer.

I also had a clarion CD changer but I decided to dismantle it and replaced it with a in-dash HU because, when in high temperatures, the CD may play, but it will skip and even not play at all. my CD changer also does not play burned CDs, that is why I get rid of my CD changer and get a new HU.

BTW, aside from clarion, ano pa bang brands ang may CD changer?

CD player won't play any CD
