blaupunkt or pioneer?

i am thinking of upgrading my headunit for my bimmer. after that maybe upgrading the separates too. any suggestions?

i would say go for the blaupunkt because pioneers don't look good on a bimmer or any other european car. at least blaupunkt's designs are more patterned with european cars.

I don't know how are the aesthetics for you, pero medyo basag kasi ang output ng Pioneer eh.

Ever considered Boston Acoustics or Alpine?

ndi naman basag ang output ng pioneer headunits. your speakers may be the one to blame for the basag output.

going back to the topic, blaupunkt will definitely look nice on a euro car...

ngayon ko lang napansin ah.. parang ndi nga pala babagay unng pioneer sa bimmer... prang lang ha... dapat hi-end ang isalpak diyan para asteeeg!!!

i'd say hi-end pioneer HU will also do the trick. basta wag lang ung overkill

eh, i don't know. i know what you guys are saying but i never liked the way blaupunkt HU's look. imo, it looks like a big, ugly black block in your dash.

they have always had really good sound quality though.

i would go for a clarion over either a blaupunkt or pioneer...

understatement / boring ang dating ng Blau ... "in-ur-face" naman ang Pioneer / Alpine

its the same with the Euro cars, halos lahat ng Euro cars ay sublime ang dating, kahit performance versions (AMG, RUF etc) ... and with most of the top Euros (Merc, BMW, Porsch, Audi), Blau comes standard for about 80-90% of their cars naman eh (BMW sometimes uses Becker as well)

kung baga, boring but very functional and logical ang controls ng Blau, designed para lahat ng basic controls na pwedeng galawin while driving. ang complicated functions ay nasa sub-menu kasi hindi naman kailangan and hindi cluttered ang facia with useless / unecessary buttons ...

ako by the way, merong Blau MP-72 Los Angeles na HU, my first ever HU is Blau CM-127 Heidelberg which lasted me 6yrs. kung peace of mind ang hanap mo naman, remember, Bosch owns Blaupunkt!!

have you tried looking at Becker for the Euro look as well (another boring looking unit made in Germany)? or have a look at Nakamichi!

Kung overall performance mas maganda Pioneer (i am comparing entry to mid level here)..
