Hi guys its been a while since my last post so im up to reducing the road noise, i've back read a few threads regarding the deadening but i cant find any thread that specifies the price range of deadening materials and labor so my basic question would be where is a good shop to do the deadening and base on your experience how much does it cost you per sheet. I want to install it in my doors ceiling and foot board( if thats what you call it basta ung sa sahid) and maybe the dashboard to reduce the engine nosie vibration. any recommendation will be appreciated

Cheapest is around P750 per door, that is materials plus labor. So P3000 for 4 doors. Most car accessories shop in Banawe offer this.

There are also more expensive brands, those made in USA or Germany. Up to you if want to get these kinds. Car audio shops usually have them.

You would just have to try it to find out. We all have different cars and different noise tolerances.

ACA offers it at 500/panel/layer. Basically, its 2000 per 4 doors for single layer and 4000 for double layer.

    1. The most effective way on how to lessen road noise (and have better NVH insulation) is to really buy a better car.
    2. What the deadening does is that it applies reinforcement to a metal sheet. Think about banging your pots versus banging your pots with your hand on it.
    3. Its primary use is not for lessening road noise.
    4. Its primary purpose is to lower the resonating frequency (sorry, geek speak) so that your panel vibrates at a lower pitch (why do you think mosquitos are so annoying if they're near your ear? because it emits a high pitch buzzing sound. the lower, the more tolerant we are) -- it's the "primary" audio application
    5. It lessens road noise by a degree by (1) lowering the resonant frequency (2) plugs "holes" in your car
    6. The best way how to isolate the car is by creating a "bubble"; luxury car makers like Lexus knows this well. It's the difference between a tightly sealed door versus a loosely sealed door.

If you're going to deaden your floor, it'll be pricey to go for mats. I would recommend you go to a hardware store and look for flashband (Flashband - YouTube). Your primary aim there is to make sure there's no air leaks where sound can pass through. If you use butyl/asphalt sheets, they do this to a certain degree but it's pricey/sqm and it'll cost you over the long run by making your car heavy (hence, more gas).

For your doors, I'll then recommend the use of mats. One of the best thing about having mats is that you get a solid "thud" everytime you open or close the door. Makes your door feel like it's 10x more expensive

Nope, they are not your stock rubber weather seals. They are additional sound proofing rubber seals. Each type or shape is designed for specific locations. You can order from Facebook *d3techph.

Meron, audiomax ang brand mascheaper sa dynamat, copies eh. If diy mo lang you can buy it at 600 per sheet or 5.4k per box of 9 sheets. Butyl type way much better sa asphalt type.
