hello po..im about to buy a JL10W3v2 sub and obviously papagawan ko ng box ito.. i have the following questions and appreciate inputs..

1. box
- civic vti ang current ride ko pero im planning to get mini suv so gusto ko sana box would be more design for ride like escape or rav 4 where it will not eat much space

2. amp
- ano po ang oks na branded pero di ganun ka mahal na amp for this sub? btw, im looking for one kahit 2nd hand txt lang kayo kung meron kayo..

3. shop
- san dito sa makati area pde po pabox na oks talaga gumawa. magkano po usually ang box na pure mdf and how much yung plexi

4. photos
- appreciate those na naka ganitong sub if you can post some of your photos para i will have an idea gaano kalaki box...
- for those din na naka mini suv, sana makapost kayo pix ng mga sound setup nyo para i will get some idea..

this was my first sub. good for SQ. sold it to a friend nga lang and bought a 12w3v2. mejo nabitin ako sa bayo, coz probably my Camry's insulation and large trunk ate much of the boom it was creating. hehehe!

anyhow, to your questions:
1) if you're into SQ, or your boom requirements aren't too much, a .8 cu ft sealed box should be compact enough for your Civic and/or SUV. some installers will advise 1.0 cu ft. a little bigger overall, but still compact.
2) even 2 bridged channels of the v12-F705 will be able to power your sub. the more powerful NV1800 is better. if you can go for second hand branded amps, better.
3) Autoline in Makati. Mickey's in Pasig.
4) sorry, 12w3v2 na yung pic ko. you can check it out in my sig tho.

thanks. naku, yan ang di ko kabisado. tawag mo na lang 8975782. NV1800 is also not an alpine. it's a 4 channel v12 (bootleg) amp. but it's quite powerful.

you can try checking out the For Sale posts at Kotseaudioclub. there are quite a few branded amps on sale. some of them might be mono amps.

i have a Jl 10w3v1 sub, nagpapagawa na ko enclosure kahapon bukas ko makukuha, 1.5 cf ang pinagawa ko, ported will be powered pansamantala ng v12 705, same ride Civic Vti 98 sedan. balitaan kita ano outcome

hey thanks..appreciate all the inputs. bakit laki ng box pagawa mo? sabi daw dapat .8cf-1cf lang... any reason why mas malaki sayo? also i was told na mas oks daw sealed for the jl10 but that might not be true..

hanap ka ng JBL CS 300.1. 300w siya at 2 ohms. if i remember correctly, around 7k siya brand new.

sir i just called ang autoline...eh overkill na daw yun... kung daw JL10W3v2 eh dapat mga 200watts to 250watts lang kase daw para di masunog ang sub...

any other model ng jbl na mga nasa 200-250watts lang?

there's nothing wrong with over-powering a speaker as long as it's tuned properly and level-matched. mas makakabuti nga na over-powered para sure ka ng hindi clipped signals yung ipapadala ng amp mo to your sub. maganda rin na medyo malakas ang amp mo since JL subs work best in sealed enclosures. mas magiging buo yung tunog with a bit more power feeding it.

saan mo ba plano maghanap ng sub? you might have a hard time na rin, since w3v3 na ang usually nakikita kong binebenta sa shops.

shop in makati... aside ba sa autoline wala na ba oks gumawa ng box at mag setup or install na malinis at pulido? kase yung iba parang business as usual lang sa paggawa..u won't see the passion sa kanila in doing things the right way...

any shop you think na oks din around makati?

fukengruven's enclosure is ported, so it's bigger than the .8 cu ft - 1 + cu ft recommended size. it'll play louder but it won't be as accurate in terms of SQ. but then, SQ is subjective, too. hehe! ported enclosures require less power than sealed enclosures. or should i say, you should be a bit more careful in tuning your system with a ported enclosure since with the same power, it'll play louder (and burn your sub more easily) than with a sealed enclosure. don't fear this phrase too much though ("burn your sub more easily"), alalay lang sa pag tono.
