Good evening mga sir, I recently upgraded the stock speaker of my Mazda 3 to focal 165AS front and 165SC rear, tanong ko lang, na notice ko lang kasi minsan yung sound humihina and then lalakas, ano kaya ang problema??? I plan to go back to where I have it installed but I want to hear from you guys muna baka alam nyo, thanks!!!

When you get back to your installer tell them to check the ground of the HU.

You need an amp pag ganun but you'll need to confirm.

the stock HU normally can power the speakers at decent volume without external amp. but yes, confirm niya muna sa installer baka lang may isyu sa connection.

Planning to upgrade my vios speakers (front 2-Way Separate) to Pioneer TS-A1606C.
Any recommendation on what yung match na amplifier? pasama na din sub.
Prefer sana pioneers din pero if mas may okay mas better.

Been using pioneer x595BT Headunit.

Any recommended trusted shop sa South (Muntinlupa , Laguna)?
Willing din pumunta sa banawe. Any trusted shop?
Any shop na open ng Sunday morning para less traffic

Recently got these as a gift and had them installed on the CRV. No idea if this is a good set but I just finished setting it up with its fancy DSP that auto-tunes everything with just a click of a button.



Sound is noticeably better than the stock system with a soundstage at center of the dashboard and a richer sound with deeper bass and more pronounced highs.

However, the vocals feel slightly overpowered by the instruments so I used the stock HU EQ to boost treble a bit to have more clarity with the vocals.

Is this a decent set? Haven't upgraded any of my cars' audio systems prior to this.



Follow up question - the sound stage is very nice when seated on the driver's side, but when on the front passenger seat it doesn't sound the same, although it still sounds good. When tuning, is the sound really just optimized for one spot?

Yes the soundstage is optimized sa driver's side. You can retune it para yung sound is balanced between the driver and passenger seat but it won't be the same.

Good package yan for some who's looking for a sound upgrade. The same set is being sold at 65k ata sa Ayala-owned Honda dealerships. Where did you have your tweeter pods fabricated? I think no tweeter provision yung 2.0S same as the 1.6V.

Okay lang ba na di na palitan yung HU? Di ko kasi type yung touch screen. Gusto ko simple lang yung dashboard then gusto ko lang sana palitan yung speakers for a much better quality. Okay lang po bang di na palitan yung HU tapos speakers nalang? Coz i remember my friend in college, he has a 2010 Honda City then upgraded his speakers to Bose. Don't really know how many speakers he replaced but he didn't change his HU. stock lang yung HU. Any inputs po from the pros?

your source (HU) is as good as the rest of your audio system. why don't you like the touchscreen? you can go the old fashion way na de-pindot but nowadays, halos lahat touchscreen na. importante yung wireless connectivity ngayon like bluetooth and phone mirroring. pwede naman speakers lang palitan mo and keep your stock HU then ipa-deaden/dampen yung doors, sigurado mag-improve yung sound compared sa stock. inquire ka sa mga car audio shops near you for options depende sa budget mo.

Well, it's not that di ko talaga gusto but I feel na parang di siya ganun ka importante knowing mahal yung mga HU na branded or maganda quality. As for the bluetooth, nakaka inggit yung may mga bluetooth na tsikots but meron namang cable na pwedeng gamitin or yung USB cable na feature ng FD. But for now, parang di ko pa need palitan yung HU. I've read na maganda yung mabibigay nyang features and the extra power it gives to the speakers pero d kasi ako yung tipong nagpapamusic ng malakas while driving nasa 20-25 lang max volume ko kasi di ako makapag concentrate hehe. Newbie pa eh.

I was planning to buy this from lazada since set na siya and mura lang tapos top 1 din siya dun sa website na nabasa ko. Anyone who have tried this one here in the forums?

Most installers use MDF, not just the usual wood.

I never use wood, MDF nor anything moisture can ruin. PVC boards are ideal for such application.

^ iba pa ba yung spacer sa foam rings? the car audio shops i know uses foam rings sa mga doors. they use MDF boards naman sa mga woodworks. (photo from fb of mickey's)
