does it have enough RAM? (kaya I bought the mid-range model)

what CPU is it using? what Android version?

later I learned (after playing with my Growl HU) na di pala pwede iupdate yung Android version (its just not available sa system settings)

CPU/RAM? as I said, mid-range gamit ko and masaya naman ako sa UI nya.
My SA from Honda is using the cheapest version and ok naman din sya, still better (daw) than AVT

Apps will work (except for Netflix). they will also get updates.

so far, no complains. I even forgot na kung anong Android version gamit ng Headunit ko.

Got an Astral HU "newer and more expensive" model ... claimed to be running on 1.5 A7 quad core running on Android 13...



Ran CPU-Z on the unit.

Turns out running on 1.12 ghz A7 quad core circa 2013 and Android Level 29 aka version 10 only...





So better check their promo 7999 unit with CPU-Z app, baka 1 gb ram or lower Android version lang tinatakbo kaya cheap.

Yung mga sellers na hinihingan ko ng screenshot nyan dati, ni-isa walang nagreply. Ganyan din yung nabili kong Navitopia daw na 7 inch. Lower actual specs compared sa advertised. Ngayon mabagal na with just waze and radio running.

di ko na chineck if tama ba specs o anong android version[emoji28]. so far ok naman interface niya sa android phone. kumukonekta naman sa spotify, yt, at navigation apps. i got the 7.9k both sa suv and van ko. tunog wise, swak lang din. my suv have bewith front speakers while the van have focals both front and rear.

IMO... way better than the AVT na binili ko sa Honda for almost 50K!

only benefit nung AVT is that the reverse cam activates a split second faster.

Nope. Been there, done that. I just didn't bother changing ours until we sold the unit because I was really just after a larger screen for Waze.

ok naman, solid ang midbass, i don't even need a subwoofer. can't compare sa focal na nasa van, more on sa A/V support kasi set-up nun.

btw, the bewith ay yung entry level na BeFIT. bought pre-owned 2014 pa yata, had it installed by simplesounds.

Astral advertised Netflix, pero it's just an old apk file. Deleted it since wala naman akong Netflix account. Advantage of having an Android is you can change everything. Installed Car Launcher app and customized the screen to my preference. Installed Sygic maps app for offline use, Prime Video, Poweramp music app, VLC, Vanced YT and YT Music. Cross fingers it will last next five years...

Recently nag palit ako ng Lenovo 4/64gb Android HU.. Pag yung in built audio player niya maayos yung sounds pero pag Spotify na naka saved offline and downloaded the highest quality settings eh di maganda ang sounds. Di ko makita kung may EQ ba na pwede patayin ang spotify since I am running a DSP.

Awave 6v4 and Focal 165 As3 on 3 way full active mode yung gamit ko.

Bought stapon s10 sa lazada. Mukhang legit naman yung 8GB/128GB na rating. Di ko lang maopen sa cpu-z but other apps na nagcheck ng hardware confirms hardware.

Mabilis naman. Hindi laggy. Madali lang din ikabit. Played diablo immortal kanina sa head unit. Hehe. Baka sa weekend install ko CODM to test

Correction pala. Alpine PXE R600 pala na DSP amp yung gamit ko. Naka max na volume sa DSP Software.

Android HU are basically a Andoid tablet with an amplifier. Wil depend if you use a android music app other than the built in music app. I use Poweramp with built in EQ.

That was the case back in the day. But apparently they have improved a lot since. How much improvement? Remains to be heard.

My Kenwood DDX8034BT, a flagship 2DIN from 2009 is getting long in the tooth but I love how it sounds, along with the controls it has so I can sculpt the audio to my taste. SQ is really timeless! I just added a Roku several years back to extend its functionality (YT, Netflix, Prime Video, Spotify, etc).

Also try EKIY. Make sure to get anything with a 6 to 8 gb ram... . Felt suckered after getting a 2 gb cheap HU (Astral). It takes Spotify forver to open if it does not crash first.
