Android Auto isn't supported by the Philippine Play Store yet, but you can download Android Auto from apkmirror.com.

No need to root. Just download the APK and install it on your phone.

You can either buy a bypass module, or do the software hack through the head unit's browser (which is what I did). I'm able to watch videos from my USB while in motion.

I downloaded the Android Auto apk at apkmirror, the version I have is 2.8.574513.

I installed it on my phone but when I'm connecting it to my Civic, it says that I'm missing an app and I should download it from the appstore.
I tried reinstalling the app several times and tried changing some options sa "Developer Options" nung phone but Android Auto still doesn't work.

Any tips? Or has anyone encountered this?

What version of Android Auto are you guys using?

    Thanks!

I got 2.8.574514, working well so far.

Is the error message seen on the phone or on the car's screen?

The error appears in the Head Unit of the car. It says something about a 'missing app, please download..." (can't remember the exact words) but something like that.

I wonder if it is the version...

I'm going to try dowloading the same version as yours.
