March 10th, 2008 04:43 PM #2"ground loop isolator" could usually fix this ... however, some purists would object to this solution and would rather fix the ground loop problem with better wiring setup (and more expensive cables)

March 10th, 2008 07:18 PM #4grounding problem lang yan sir... try to rewire your system. may amplifier po ba kayo? if meron, ang solution ng mga car audio experts is to use thicker wires (power and ground). plus dapat yung RCA cables nakahiwalay sa power cable kasi they might pick up noise pag masyado magkalapit. if all else fails, and/or tinatamad ka na magpacheck ng wiring ng system kasi siyempre kabit-baklas-latag ng wires mangyayari at kawawa naman auto... pwede na ground loop isolator. hth pO!

March 10th, 2008 09:04 PM #5i'm not using an amplifier. the car stereo cd mp3 player with aux input is wired directly to the oem socket of the starex. the whine only comes out pag dvd player is being used and plugged in the front aux input. pag cd or radio o ipod wala naman ingay. the ground wire is directly grounded to the body na instead of the stock socket. it's true if with amps we need good grounds and monster cables which i have in my other car kaya wala whine. ang problema ko sa van is stock lahat gamit ko with no amps kaya hirap ako isolate where the noise comes from.

March 11th, 2008 01:50 AM #6try connecting the ground wire of the dvd to the ground wire of the stereo instead of the chassis ... this should at least lessen the ground loop between the two devices

April 15th, 2008 01:00 AM #10you have alternator whine because you use the DVD players CAR ADAPTOR which in turn results in alternator whine when you Plug the DVD player AUDIO OUT to the AUX Input... electrical loop is inevitable since the DVD player uses car adaptor with 9volts output (the adaptors circuitry is causing the noise)... You can only lessen the noise by re-wiring your DVD player CAR Adaptor to a DIRECT 12 Volts supply (direct from battery) instead of plugging it to the cigarette lighter jack.. or you use a dvd player with 12 volts input.. or if your dvd player has a battery back you use it instead of the car adaptor..
that may be, but we all got plastic, young and old. we asked the lto guy, "papel ba po, o...
