yup, i think kimpOy's right, active sub is powered, while the passive sub needs an external amp. pros nung active sub, d mo na kelangan ng external amp, so you can fit it in tight/relatively remote spaces. cons nung active sub, hindi sya sing lakas nung passive sub, so if you want boom-boom, don't get an active sub.
correct si leon275 ng KAC naka isang sub lang sa likod ng REVO
minsan kahit hindi naka fulll blast ang sub niya ok lang sobrang lang kasing baba ng bass lalo ng ibang tunes.
but if you set up your sounds na pang SPL it will be too heavy for offroading and it will occupy the whole of the rear. may chance na mabasa. para dual purpose mag passive ka na lang so that you can disconnect it pag mag off road ka especially kung may water fording.
i suggest that you get DLS Iridium fronts 6.5" two way. i dont know if it will fit. the safari have thin door panels. but if it fits i strongly recommend them. or you can make a custom side panel for it then get the 3 way. you will not regret it.
Ungas,
Mukhang spacer ang katapat nyan, para d tumukod sa mga window brackets. Also, try researching on thin separates, yung hindi malalim ang mounting requirements.
ARB::: I'll try to check Winterpine out, dun din pala binebenta yung amps na balk ko kunin.
IMm29::: They did place MDF cut spacers along with my current speakers mount. Hinay-hinay lang sa gastusin di ko pa nauumpisahan, hehehe. I want it to look simple and dull at first glance para di matakaw sa paningin ng magnanakaw. :D
