Achieving SPL on an SQL Setup?

Can i achieve an SPL considered my system is about to be set-up is an SQL System? Or do i need to change sub boxes?

Kasi, i'm planning to get an SQL setup but i want to have an SPL without sacrificing the bass that we get from an SQL setup.

Sir..yong SPL na ibig mo sabihin ecompete mo yong set-up mo or want just a loud bass that will match to your front speakers? ano ang enclosure mo ngayon seald or ported?

tune or design your enclosure properly ma achieve mo yong goal mo and it will also sound great in low volume.. pero in SPL competetions and you want numbers(big score) on your certificate.. that would be another topic..LOL..

I'm planning to get a 1 or 2 pcs 12" kenwood with a sealed box. but i'm thinking if i should change it to a vented box and sacrifice half of my trunk. But after reading the posts in this section, most people who achieved SQL setup used sealed box. even who had previously have a vented box changed to sealed box and "never looked back"

and nope, i'm not entering any competitions since surely i'll fail hehehe...

Hi.. with seald you will still get loud bass(SPL) but it would not be deep bass bacause the seald enclosure will give a flat response.. you will acheive that with ported enclosure designs..single 12" would be enough in a proper enclosure..I have been to seald designs and then ported designs you can hear the difference...(especially if love deep bass)..

Lound and clear with SPL Hmnnn.. it can be done just know what is the best crossover points that you can get the most SPL on your SQL setup.

Sir lagyan mo ng rear speakers..damihan mo kung gusto mo.. you need to concentrate as well sa front stage mo..or kung naka set-up na just leave like as it is...kung na sa loob ka ng sasakyan just adjust the fader to "front"..kung nasa labas ka nakikinig adjust it back to "0" para gagana ang rear speakers..

kung gusto mo talaga na complicated add a 8" sub to your SQ install..tanggalin mo yong glovebox/compartment sa harap hanapan mo ng paraan at doon mo esaksak ang "8 seald enclosure dahil sa SQ hindi ka naman kailangang na malaking subwoofer..ang na set-up na ganito nakadescret sa harap ang sub wala sa likod..so lahat na music ay nasa harap hindi nahihila sa likod..(so pwidi ka pang magcompete nyan..for SQ)

for SQL naman, make a ported enclosure..ilagay mo sa likod..ang rear speakers mo ngayon ang maging bida (pwidi mo rin ilagay sa passenger back doors)..support mo lang ang front speakers..

Sir basic pa lang po tong sinasabi ko..dahil iba-iba ang adjustments or cut-off ng x-over mo..so medyo mahirap, challenging, minsan nakakaloka but enjoy ka sa bandang huli..

Pero if want just loud and clear na parang disco sa loob ng sasakyan(walang sound stage)..lagyan mo lang ng maraming speakers sa pinto..pero need to be carefull sir dahil pagnaka-hang lang ang mga speakers mo sa pinto at walang maliit na box or compartment..may possibility ang boses ng Lalaki ay maging ka boses ng Babae..heheheh..(mawalan ka ng midbass).. and a properly portred design enclosure..(streetbass style)

Boring rin kasi pag ikaw lang ang nakikinig sa loob ng sasakyan kailangan mo rin lumabas at e-stretch ang mga paa..so mag SQL ka na! good luck!

Wirings: Stinger Wirings
HU: Pioneer 8450

For me loud and clear na to. Kaya bumayo if I want it.
If you want more bass just get a higher wattage 4 channel amp like Solid Audio F49 or any amp that gives 100W or more per channel. Bridge naman 2 channel for the sub. 10" will do na usually. Depends on the model of the sub din.
