good day sir... about your plan in buying a 2nd hand bmw 361i, hmmmm... its nice po.. pero ung mga spare parts up to now ganon pa din po.

    till then.. hope it helps....

maraming "mura" (compare with casa), sportsline in banawe, Kyle car center in sikatuna for surplus parts, EAP in banawe, meron mga seller sa mga bmw clubs, maraming non-casa service centers. Mas mahal konti compare w/ jap cars ang parts pero siguradong magtatagal like bumili ka na rin ng orig parts for the jap car.

Maintenance halos same lang sa jap cars, example change oil, 3K++ this includes fully synthetic oil, filters, labor, etc.

Some mechanics do not recommend synthetic oil for older cars due to possible oil seal leak. How does an older bmw take the synthetic?

the same... from a mineral. do not jump directly to synthetic... if you want, you may jump from a mineral to a semi-synth to a synthetic, but never go directly to a synthetic from a mineral specially on older cars.

If you can, go for the 1999 and up E46 body. The E36 got very poor crash test results (passenger cabin got wanked).

by default, it uses fully synthetic naman talaga. Yun change oil indicator is pang synthetic talaga, BMW knows better. I have no problem so far with fully synthetic but I'll be switching to semi-synthetic later on because i'll be using an auto-rx w/ c is best w/ semi-synth
