we really need a president who doesn't turn her back on things she knows is happening everyday. I know someone from customs and basically, if the importer doesnt pay the tax, it will be auctioned off. After three auction (customs sets a minimum amount), then it will be auctioned for the last time to the highest bidder. so if somebody bids P100k on that car and he or she is the highest, it's theirs.

May 18th, 2005 05:52 PM #3It wouldnt be so easy to break the law if they only made it simpler to know and implement. It doesnt help either that duties and taxes are so high that bribing a customs officer is cheaper.
Does anyone on this board know the mechanics on importing a complete car will cost?
Dapat flatrate yung lahat ng auto. 10% flatrate whether the car costs 10,000 or 10,000,000.
