    magnet for crime?

daily drive? i guess ok lang except if the streets are really flooded

Yung mga 3 and 5 series you can take it where you take your Accord or Camry. And selling them hot makes little sense (unless ka-kontsaba ang would-be buyer).

And yes, SUV's are more prone to carnapping and carjacking.

Uhhhh, I'm not exactly proud of this but I do know these people who take away our beloved cars and they don't get bmw's since they can't really resell the parts, plus it's extra difficult to get an original key from the dealer since it still has to be checked at Germany. Another factor is that our keys aren't the ones that you can really duplicate, since it is of the inverted fishbone design, plus the presence of a microchip inside which if absent, will not allow the car to start. There has only been one known case of a carnapped BMW to date, actually.

As for our fuel, we refrain from using Blaze, Velocity, etc. as the engines of Euro cars are more sensitive and are made for unleaded only fuel. There have been numerous cases wherein the engine's performance has been affected by non-unleaded fuels. That's good so you won't be forced to buy the more expensive ones. :D

And for those who even have non-bmw cars, a word of advice...if you want to decrease your chances of your car getting carnapped, what you do is change your ignition so that it requires a different key to start it from the key that opens the door. It's that simple. :D

baka boring naman if I have two pajero's. isipin ng lahat either me no taste or sobra loyal sa pajero. ha ha.
    sir findy

oks lang to have two pajeros, very reliable and matipid sa diesel ang pajero.

    fundy,

Yes, the BMW is safer against theft. They might just choose to kidnap you instead. hehehe.

Autoxer's partners went recently to Capalangan and found a whole engine block of a 323 there! hehehe! anyways, the chopchop in pampanga are predominantly pajero/suv parts. they even have pajero front seats for christsake!

so far, wala pa akong narinig na carnapped bmw na ginamit to commit a crime! kadalasan ngayon either SUV or AUV ang gamit!

in my case, daily drive yung pick-up and pajero and weekend drive for leisure ang lumang bmw e36. i already miss my e36 kasi nasa talyer pa at matatagalan pa yung pagawa. medyo major and gagawing surgery doon hehehe!

    woodfire,

Capalangan naman is a mix of local and imported vehicles which got parted out either legally or illegally. Baka imported yung 323i block. Hopefully.

Otep, you driven the 2.8 automatic? how do you find it?
Oo nga, baka kidnapping maging problema ko with the bmw. kung carnap, at least I have insurance.... hassle lang nga.8O

Thats actually true. If they really want to carnap your car then the bad news is that they're going to point a gun at your head to get it. Well if it's gonna be carnapped in the end anyway then better than they just take it away from you right?

20"s can fit a 3 series, but you will need to do a little work with the fenders and wheel wells. Besides, 18s are the most you should go for. Any further than that doesn't contribute to grip or better handling and decreases acceleration because of the added weight.

Odell, which series did you see, a 7? 20s can easily fit into that. Or that might be the black 523i with 20 inchers that I know of.

    for pure driving pleasure- bmw
now that i have heavily tweaked (and still in the process) my bmw, i expect it to be more pleasurable to drive hehehe! the thing is, i got a lot of technical help from bmw owners from abroad (mostly in the u.k.), so one gets the feeling that the admiration for the car is indeed global!

for a good old reliable drive on a daily basis - pajero or my pick-up especially if its raining and flooded. it gets you from point a to b period! and because it has a diesel engine, it is easy and cheap to maintain.

    fundy,
2.8 manual pa lang ni Odell na-drive ko. Yung matic namin dito is 6G72 V6 engine, eh.

I love the look of the 2.5 intercooler pajero and would like to keep it for life.... pero kupad talaga so sometimes I just wanna get rid of it.... sort of like a love hate relationship.:D Yung trooper, ok acceleration pero di ko talaga type yung looks niya.
