Re: Post your ACP FC and Tips to improve Fuel Mileage
Another tip to improve our FC is by installing A/C switch, and use it for power management. A/C switch is use to disengage and engage the air compressor from the engine without controlling the thermostat (discussed previously). Whenever you need greater power like during hard acceleration especially when overtaking or during accending, by turning off the A/C switch momentarily the air compressor will be disengaged thus removing aircon load to your engine. By this, your engine will run faster and you dont need to step on the gas pedal harder, so this saves on gas and also protects our environment and another one good this is that the engine will not be over stressed. After that instance about 5 to 15 seconds switch on the A/C switch back again to maintain temperature of your cabin. This will not affect so much your inside temperature hahabulin naman ng thermostat yan and that is while the engine is lightly loaded. If you make this a habit tatagal ang makina mo.
Not unless kung super init ang panahon and you have many passengers, hindi mo magagawa ito kasi maiinitan pasahero mo, if this the case you really have to burn more gas thus your engine will work harder.
There are times kasi na ang engine natin is under loaded (during engine braking or pababa), or lighty loaded when sailing smoothly(pag nasa bwelo na o medyo patag na kalsada), and hardly loaded (during hard acceleration and accending) and sometimes even overloaded (during racing or matinding akyatan) that's the time you must turn off your aircon. Keep in mind that aircon is a big load.
Question: Baka masira ang air compressor kaka patay sindi.
Answer: Patay sindi naman ang air compressor even if you maintain the A/C switch on in order to maintain the desired temp of your cabin.
Btw, I already taught this to my younger sister and she keeps on doing it. Her car is an alto, powered by an 800cc engine. I told her you need this power management to keep your engine running for a long time.

Re: Post your ACP FC and Tips to improve Fuel Mileage
So tipid sa gas.
For better or for worst. Pag ginamit, for worst. On my way home, pag di na ma traffic, I turn off the compressor. pag medyo mainit na, I turn off the fan and then open the windows.
This needs power mula sa engine.

Re: Post your ACP FC and Tips to improve Fuel Mileage
It's maybe one of their reasons but their main reason is para makita ng pasahero karatula kung saang byahe sila.
Yup, may idle up pa yan na pag liliko ka tataas nya idle, the reason is bibigat kasi yung hydraulic.
FYI yung honda city and jazz use electric power steering so less ang consumption, kokonsumo lang sya pag liliko ka not like yung hydraulic steering pirme gumagana ang hydraulic supply even di ka lumiliko.Last edited by shadow3616931; July 22nd, 2008 at 04:55 PM.

*shadow3616931,
:D :D :D hehehehehe (tawang ala demonyo)

3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
