HOW TO: Change ashtray light bulb and fuse

Hi to all! I recently noticed that the service light sa ashtray ni Vanzie is not functioning. Meron na po bang nakapag-palit ng ilaw and fuse sa front ashtray?

I checked the manual including the fuse layout pero

Ate Jaaaannnneeee,

Usually bulb lang yan kasi sa wiring diagram ang interior lights naka series sa isang fuse so pag bigay ang fuse hindi lang sa ashtray ang mapupundi. Usually either parang fuse type or twist off ang bulb kayang kaya mo yan.

Mamaya I plan to inspect the ashtray sana tulad sya nung sa ref na iikutin lang yung bulb. Napansin ko kasi late pm na kaya di ko na nasilip tapos day off pa ni vanzie kahapon.

AFAICT, connected iyung ashtray light bulb sa cigarette lighter... Did you try replacing the fuse?

hindi pa sir takot pa ako pakialaman yung fuse box i might mess it up....yari ako nyan kay boss

Relax, pull-out and push-in lang naman ang mga fuse... Kayang-kaya mo iyan!

Try mo muna, kasi mas madaling magpalit ng fuse kesa ashtray light bulb.

Hi to all! I recently noticed that the service light sa ashtray ni Vanzie is not functioning. Meron na po bang nakapag-palit ng ilaw and fuse sa front ashtray?

If it's not a busted fuse, this is what you can do to replace the bulb:

1. Remove the ashtray.

2. Remove the locking pin of the center panel:



3. Remove the air vent selector cap from the center of the panel. Remove the center panel by placing your thumb against its front side and 4 other fingers on the top side of the ashtray well, then pulling it upwards and towards you.

4. Pull out the peanut bulb:





Parang malaking Christmas Light lang daw iyan, just pull it out of its socket.

5. Replace it, and replace everything in its place... Oh, the locking pin should be in this position before re-inserting it in its place behind the ashtray:



After inserting it, push the center pin in.

Prenster thank you so very much! naka-abot ako up to sa point na matanggal ko yung knobs ng thermostat, fan, air intake eto mga pics:

1. removed ashtray and poked center clip


2. Removed thermostat, fan and air intake knobs


am not sure if kulang ang power na ginamit ko but hindi ko mabunot ang front actually, applied gentle touch takot kasi baka may mabali na clip .... then the rain poured.....itutuloy ko operation kay vanzie pag wala ulit si boss hehehe!!!

I tried the lighter and it worked pati yung modulator ok naman so if nag share sila ng fuse it means the fuse is OK....

O, bakit di mo tinapos ang kwento about the lights on?

I didn't mention the thermostat knobs, because they don't have to be removed.

Di mo nakita iyung pics nung panel ko dun sa Defogger switch conversion DIY thread? You didn't notice pala.

*woohoo nakow sa sobrang excitement i forgot to print ung instructions kaya pagka park sa house i tried it kaagad. Ipi-print ko na sana when I can't remove the panel kaya lang bumuhos ang ulan kaya di ko naituloy

iilaw lang pala ang ashtray light pag naka on ang headlights or parking lights.....maraming salamat Qwerty!!!
