Just kind of a survey..I was just wondering lang kung ano ang magandang brand ng car shampoo, whether in terms of lubrication and other factors..I'm using Microtex car shampoo BTW, P150 for a liter..mamaya ko pa lang ita-try..

Paki-state na rin po ang reason kung bakit yun ang inyong car shampoo..
    Thanks a bunch

For cheap cars like our delivery vans and old company cars, i use:

Micro Magic: cheap at 99 per liter and i guess has minimal protection since its a wash and wax

Big Berts Shampoo: Does a good job of cleaning and is really really cheap

As for my own car and those that i really maintain, i use:

Meguiars NXT: Very nice and yummy smell hahaha, and very good lubrication, it like glides wash mitts off the paint, sheets nicely after

Mothers Gold Carwash: Also nice smell and nice lubrication also

of course NXT and Cali Gold costs a lot more, but if im to choose which one is best? i would go for NXT since it makes a really good clay lubricant and sheets water off nicely

Lemme know what you think about the microtex shampoo, i just might try it out and get a bottle this weekend

yun Microtex parang pareho sa Big bert's shampoo... orange flavor.

yan din gamit ko ngayon, ubos na kasi yun Big bert's shampoo ko... and walang time dumaan para bumili ulit.

I also used yun kay Atoy's ok rin naman.

Using vaseline shampoo.. Yes its also my shampoo.. SaBay kami naliligo.. Hehehe

One thing I've noticed, makintab yung sasakyan ko if vaseline ang ginamit compare to any generic or branded.. Try niyo & you'll be amazed

Oh & mas sensitive ang ulo ng tao kesa kotse so thats more advantage sa mga ma oc sa paint (like me)

But sir, paint and your head is a different thing! They have separate requirements...I believe shampoo has an ingredient that strips oil to your head...and if you use this sa car paint, i believe it will strip away sealant and wax... On a different note, sa isang car club, i read a fellow member uses feminine wash for car wash... Same reason kasi "mild" daw yun...

BTT: Microtex Wash and wax for me...Hindi nakakawala ng wax....If i intend to clean the paint, after using kerosene, i use liquid soap like joy them microtex ulit before puting a new coat of wax...

Shampoo's main purpose is to lubricate your wash media so it doesn't cause swirls and scratches.

agree with sir jmpet, hair shampoo will remove the oils sa hair, ganyan din sa wax or sealants sa paint. makintab nga tingnan pero nawala naman protection ang clear coat ng paint. para din yan nung mga gumagamit ng joy dishwasher, ang kintab daw kapag nahugasan at napunasan pero di nila alam kinang ng clear coat na lang yung naiiwan. ang purpose ng wax at sealant ay para magkaroon ng protective barrier against contaminants yung clear coat then yung paint. now if di ka nag wax at palagi mo pa hinugasan ng mga nakaka-strip ng oils, ninipis ng ninipis yung clearcoat ng pintura then later on wala ng kintab
