I just noticed in my brand new Honda City that it has very messy holograms all over that are very visible particularly at night. Just want to know a permanent solution for this?

    TIA

Our cars didn't came with holograms... Consider yourself lucky. :D

Seriously, are you talking about the rainbow effect on the windscreen? Paint job?

Gotta be the paint job. Ugali kasi ng casa na i-buff muna ang paint before releasing the unit, especially when the unit is parked under the sun.

Solution? Have it polished (lightly or until the holograms are gone) and put a coat of sealant and wax.

If it's the rainbow effect on your windows, have it professionally cleaned at a detailing shop. Chances are a rag with car wax or tire black was used to clean your windows resulting in the effect.

Grabe! Sarap tuktukan ng nagbuff nyan. :hammer:

For polishing na yan sir. Take it to a reputable detailer shop, kaya matanggal yan. Compound malamang ginamit dyan pero di pinolish.

Not as f-up as that. Pero f-up pa rin especially for a brand new. Lalo na sa gabi!

ang galing naman ng nagdetail niyan di man lang ba niya na check gawa niya pagkatapos kung ok ba o hindi

dalhin mo na lang sa mga reputable detailing shops para ma-correct nila yung paint surface.

    Just wax it.

Save the "detailing session" for swirls and scratches. My sister's car came with that also. I was never tempted to bring out my DA polisher.

Just applied Turtle Cleaner Wax on one section of the car. The mess is still there but looked more tolerable now. Nahid significantly din mga swirls and minor scratches. Try ko full wax next week, then bring the car dun, where all of mess is very visible (sa mall actually) - night and high noon. Thanks.

It looks horrible pero holograms are probably the most minor of paint defects.

If you can maintain a swirl free paint for 6 months, then have it detailed. If not, pa wax at wait ka nalang till mag ka swirl at least. Baka hindi pa pawisan yung mag dedetail niyan, sayang lang. Pero of course, decision mo parin.

I used 3m Performance Finish last night, and minor swirls, scratches and holograms were completely gone (or hidden). The paint looks (consistently) mirror smooth right now. Not sure how long it'll last though.
