i feel a lot will depend on the skill of the person applying the undercoat.
but... why for apply it in the first place? the vehicle already has factory rustproof.
i looked at the underside of my 13 year old car, and there was no rust.
but if you intend to use the vehicle under conditions where the underside will be subject to considerable trauma, then undercoat would probably be a good idea.
